The Gator Cases 4G series gig-bag for electric bass guitars combines quality with affordability and protection! The GB-4G-BASS features a durable nylon exterior with Gators GFLEX 20mm padding to prevent scratches and dings while transporting and storing your bass guitar. The 4G series gig-bags feature a patent pending Pick-Clip zipper pull that holds a spare guitar pick, padded backpack straps with the contoured back padding for added comfort while carrying, as well as a durable reinforced carry handle. The Gator Cases 4G series gig-bags also feature a generously large front pocket for storing guitar accessories such as guitar tuners, strings, cables, capos and other items. The GFLEX padded interior has a reinforced headstock and bridge area to prevent wear from the guitar as well as internal pads to protect the bottom of the guitar.

I’m relatively new to guitar and needed something to transport by guitar to and from lessons. I look at the LTD cases made specifically for my guitar but didn’t want to drop that kind of money, but also don’t want a cheap bad that I’d end up replacing in 6 months. My LTD EC-1000 fits in the bag nicely and is secure enough that it doesn’t move around. Overall I’m pretty happy with this and would recommend.

Really great quality gig bag with thick padding and sturdy zippers. Thoroughly impressed. However, unfortunately it didn’t fit my Cordoba 15CFM concert ukulele — the bag was not “deep” enough front to back, making for a too-tight fit when zipped. It put too much pressure on the bridge and strings for my comfort.

Since I was already in the market for a $45+ padded gig bag, I decided to return this one and go for Cordoba’s own proprietary gig bag. I would have gladly bought the tenor uke size in this Gator bag — the quality is definitely there — but unfortunately that size wasn’t available/in stock at the time I needed it.

I recommend you check the measurements to make sure your uke will fit. The interior dimensions and measurements given are the MAXIMUM size instrument that will fit comfortably inside this gig bag. If your uke is pushing the limits, go for the next bigger size.

Still, this is an excellent bag, and I don’t think it deserves any stars off just because my uke didn’t fit. I would definitely consider this bag again if I get another uke that would fit.

The zip which contains a plectrum, is a total gimmick! But that's all that's in any way wrong with this dual bass gig bag. Yes, it's not got the side bolsters of a Protection Racket bag, nor outer quilted padding of a MOMO! Bearing mind that Hiscox or RockCase cases are the most secure way to carry one bass, this Gator GB-4G-BASSX2 is a great compromise; also, unlike the c.£200+ MOMO or Protection Racket bags, this was just over £55! Yes, it could've done with an internal velvet neck support & retaining strap in each compartment, but for carrying cheap, copy basses for Open Mics, this is ideal.
