I did order the frustration free package and I was surprised that it was in a plain box, but it actually worked out well. I was able to put the batteries in the toy and wrap the box so my kid could just rip off the one piece of tape and get right to playing. I even poked "air holes" just like a real puppy. No agonizing wait for mom to cut it out of the box, find a screwdriver, find batteries, etc.
Overall, I'd say this is a great toy for kids from 3-6ish.

Loves that she can use that app that matches up with her puppy, we found this out from information on the box the puppy came in. I am glad I got this and will be buying more FurReal friends brand animals as gifts for my daughter in the future. Highly recommend this toy to any child ages 4 and up.
