Just a simple remote starter and door/trunk unlocker. Manual is very easy to read/understand, and programming is easy. Range is 2X better than factory fobs.

In hindsight, I wish I bought and installed something 2 way with a 1 mile range but, all in all, $42 was a pretty attractive price.

Everything, even the hood switch was included for remote start, and the default setup and install matched my vehicle, so I didn't need any extra relays. I did have to hunt for a good tach signal, the coil didn't work and wiring diagram tach wire did not work, I believe the signal was too weak, as I observed a fairly low AC range < 1V. I ended up tapping direct to an injector.

Edit: When parked far away at work, I didn't have range to start the car from inside the office. I'm not going to adjust my life, get up early, and rush to work to get a spot to make this remote work for me from inside the building. I know some people in the office do this and rush for the coveted line of sight close spots, at least on my floor. I took a gamble...since the CS800 has drone support, it might work with a better remote set. There isn't any documentation I could find to support this theory. I bought the RF-2WG9-SP kit which includes one 2-way remote, one 1-way remote, and an ANT-2WSP antenna and antenna connection cable. This cable supplied with the kit has the 4 wire connector that matches the antenna port plug on the CS800. I just unplugged the antenna that came with the CS800 and plugged in the ANT-2WSP with the supplied cable, routed up the A post, paired the new remotes, and, voila, it worked flawlessly. I now have 3X more range, and, with the 2-way remote, I get confirmation, without line of sight, that the car is started and/or the doors locked/unlocked. The 2-way confirmation function is both LED blinking lights and chimes. The con of this is that the remote kit is $80-90, which is double the cost of the CS800. But, if I couldn't start the car being warm inside the building (or know it was started because no line of sight to the parking lights), it kind of defeats the purpose of having a remote start on those 20 below days.

Note, the original 1-way remotes supplied with the CS800 do not (at least for me) work with the ANT-2WSP antenna, I couldn't get them to pair. No biggie, but I wondered if they would and someone else might too. Not that you really need 4 remotes paired.

I have a 1999 jeep Cherokee that is a dealer only reprogram for the key fob's and they wanted $60 to do it. I also live in Colorado so it gets cold so I bought this to solve both problems at less money than the dealer wanted to reprogram the fob's. It came with the 4 button fob's as advertised.
Support is non existent if you are not an authorized dealer but do not let that scare you if you know anything about automotive wiring 12 dc then you should be able to install this unit.
Before you start or even order I suggest you do a search for " wiring diagram to install remote start/ remote door lock" for your year make and model. You should be able to find the correct wire colors and locations for your car. If you can not find this then I would be very hesitant to buy this as I said no support. It does explain what to look for in the manual but it will be much harder without knowing where you are looking for these wires.
I only installed the remote start and door locks but it is capable of doing a lot more and if you know what you are doing you can make this do a lot of other stuff buy using the built in relays.
It was very easy on my Cherokee as I only had to hook up about 10 wires but it will probably be slightly harder on newer smaller cars, only because of getting to the wires you need.
If you have the wiring diagram/ color code for your car and have at least a basic understanding of automotive wiring then I would highly recommend this system. I researched them and it is possible there are better units but this one is very good, very easy, and compact as most I found in this price range came with external relays. This unit has everything built into a compact box.
The only negative I found was the antenna mounting. It sticks to the windshield. It is working but not sure after a couple of years of hot and cold. In my application it won't be hard to make a bracket and I probably will at some point but it is holding for now.

I purchase this item to install on a 2007 Mercury Milan. It worked great for a little while and then it started starting on its own and flashing the Park lights. I contacted tech support with them to discuss this problem and they told me that Amazon is not an authorized dealer. The best thing to do was refer me to text support. I have been a Ford technician for 20 years plus and do know what I'm doing. The lack of support for this product purchase an Amazon makes me want to give it less than one star.

I used this to replace an AutoCommand unit from 1999 that I installed in a Ford Windstar when it was new. I will warn you that the instructions are not step-by-step. As a matter of fact, they suck. I actually used my AutoCommand instructions as I had already identified the wires I needed so long ago. This unit has many output wires, most of which you will not use if you are just doing a basic installation. If you have a transponder key you will need some other device, however this is what I figured out way back in 1999. Get a spare transponder key and program it. File it down so that it won't operate the ignition. Put the key in the ignition when you anticipate using the starter and the the ignition sequence works perfectly. If somebody breaks the window to steal the car (common method of theft now), as soon as they touch the brake pedal the car will die and the key will not turn in the lock. You can get cheap transponder keys on the big auction site. Do not go to a big box store and pay $75 for a key. You can get keys for around $15 and your locksmith will cut them for a few bucks.

Bottom line though, the specific wires you need to find will vary greatly from vehicle to vehicle and it may not be easy for the casual do-it-yourselfer. Also, if you want to integrate the horn, trunk, locks and all of that junk, I would recommend professional installation. I just wanted the thing to start the car, no more, no less. and it works fine for that. My wife uses it to warm the car up in the morning and she starts it from the kitchen. That is the only time she uses it.

Was really easy to install, instructions were clear and eash to read, ive had this since December 22nd 2017, so almost 2 years. And its bounce between 3 different vehicles, was in my 99 mazda protege with a manual transmission, (just needed a little modification done to the clutch safety switch to disable that to start the car) and no anti theft systems than sold that car and went into my 97 jeep grand Cherokee. Also no anti theft system so wss easy to install. Than bought a 2006 ford f150, and took the remote start from the heep and transferred it into the f150, this is that one has fords PATS anti theft... i went to canadian tire, got them to clone one of the chip key IDs onto another key, ($40) and took the chip out of it, hot glued the chip to the transponder ring to bypass the anti theft system. And remote start works perfect... oh and a $2 cut key from any hardware store will now start the truck too :)

I bought this for my 1986 ford van it has a fuel injected engine. I dont have power locks or any other luxuries in the van so installation was quite easy, i used all the pins in connector 1 (8 pin connector) and pins 8,9 and 12 in 12 pin connector 2 the other connector was the antenna. The two remotes were ready to use no need to pair them to the module. It works awesome you have to hold the start button for the full three seconds the park lights flash and the van starts this whole process takes about 10 to 15 seconds but the lights stay on to let you know the vehicle is running. The range is better then i had expected, can start the van from inside the grocery store and van is in the middle of the parking lot, i think the company states one thousand feet and its probably close to that. Van runs for 15 to 20 minutes before shutting off automatically or you can manually shut it off ( other ones i looked at only ran for 2-3 minutes, pointless in cold climates like mine) would definitely recomend

So all in all not a bad product, installed great along with bypass module for a F150. 2 problems I had one was i had to re program the remotes as for some reason they weren't programmed even know they where supposed to be also one battery was dead in remote, for some reason i cant get into the options menu to change the settings from tachless to tach sense . so i ordered a programmer for it OP500 to allow me to change the settings.. beware of this it cost another $140.00. Unless you know somebody or a shop that has one . Tachsense is a good idea in cold climates .So after all that fuss it works great. very happy
