Great functional puppets with diverse ethnicity.
These are great functional puppets with diverse ethnicity which is what I was looking for. Adults easily used these puppets to tell a story. For the price and how many puppets you get it is a great deal. Buying each one separately would have been extremely more costly. For my purposes, story telling, they work great. Not sure how they would hold up as a toy, but that is not my intended purposes. I saw no imperfections with the puppets so I can only comment on what I actually received. I am happy with the purchase. The instructors were happy with the purchase and the kids were happy with the purchase. I would buy them again.

I bought these for my grandson to use with his puppet show stage that we also purchased on Amazon. These are decent quality for the price and you get alot of them! I liked the variety that was in the box. We named them all and had a blast doing puppet shoes on Christmas day. All the puppets have been introduced to all of his other stuffed animals. I liked this best for 2 reasons. 1. The variety. This helps a child learn to play with people of all races and teaches that we are all the same even if we look different and 2. My grandson is autistic with difficulty communicating and speech is delayed. Using the puppets to play helps encourage his speech and learn how to communicate.

Just received today. First, these puppets are distributed by Oriental Trading Company. A few of the puppets have sparse hair as reported in earlier comments. But they will work OK for my child clients. Some of the puppets with thick hair have ponytails, and I just chose to put the ones with sparser hair in ponytails as well. I am able as an adult to put my hand inside the mouth, and a finger into the arms to move them, so there is ample room for an adult hand. The fabric is very inexpensive, but stitching is good, and these will be OK for awhile for client use.

I'm not sure if I would purchase these for my grandchildren. They may be harder on them en mass. It seems that these puppets would be OK to wash in the washing machine as well, if put into a pillow case first, and washed on gentle cycle in cold water, and low dry in the dryer, then removed when almost dry to air dry the rest of the way. Do at nite: then in am, will be dry!

I am a seamstress as well, and the overall quality of these puppets are great. Hoping they will last for a while. Other puppets in comparable price range still have some bad reviews, so if I could choose, I would take the time to make my own puppets....but that can't happen right now. Oh well.... Here's hoping for some longevity out of these guys.
