Product Description

Thoro-Flush
COOLANT SYSTEM FLUSH

  • Opens and cleans out plugged heater cores.
  • Clears out gelled Dex-Cool with a simple flush
  • Diesel Oil cooler failure, cleans cooling system in a single flush
  • Safe for use on cast iron, aluminum, brass and plastic
  • For improved coolant flow and temperature control, always flush with Thoro-Flush for the best possible results
  • Thoro-Flush is a concentrated powder and the most powerful flush available

Failed Oil Cooler?

A common failure point in high mileage medium and HD Diesel Engines is the Oil Cooler. When this occurs, the engines coolant system becomes
contaminated by engine oil. This will turn the engine coolant into a mud-like mixture and must be cleaned out when replacing the Oil Cooler.

Solution: Two pints of Irontite Thoro-Flush will clean and strip the oil out of the engine cooling system with a single flush following the product instructions.

Plugged Heater Core?

Many of today’s vehicles are manufactured with very tight heater cores that can become plugged over time. It is not uncommon for a 4-year-old vehicle, if the coolant system is not flushed annually and recharged with new coolant, to simply plug. #1 symptom is no heat.

Solution: One pint of Irontite Thoro-Flush will clean, unplug and
restore a heater core to a like-new condition with a single flush
following the product instructions.

Dex-Cool Gelled in Coolant System

Both GM and Chrysler began using Dex-Cool extended life antifreeze in their vehicles beginning in the mid-90’s. Dex-Cool, when mixed with non-Dex-Cool Antifreezes, will create a chemical reaction turning the cooling system coolant into a thick gel. Symptoms will be engine overheating and loss of heat from the vehicle’s heater. Getting this Dex-Cool ”mud” out of a vehicle is a difficult and time consuming job.

One pint of lrontite Thoro-Flush will clean, unplug and restore a coolant system to a like-new condition with a single simple flush. Thoro-Flush can be used with a flushing machine or simply as a manual flush. This allows you to recharge the system with proper coolant mixture, which will stop the vehicle from overheating and restore the passenger heating system.

Clean Fuel Tanks and Cooling Systems with Thoro-Flush

Over 30% of new Fuel Pumps fail because the installer did not clean the fuel tank properly. Fuels with Ethanol cause a build-up of Ethanol gel in fuel tanks. Older steel tanks will have scale and rust that can cause a new fuel pump to fail. Bio-Diesel leaves hard-to-remove residue in the fuel tanks that cause problems throughout the fuel system.

Most fuel pump and module issues are linked to debris or contamination in the fuel tank that may have accumulated over time, or during the removal and replacement procedure. Fine particulate
contamination can clog the strainer causing high electrical demand on the fuel pump, and if ingested, can result in premature wear within the pumping section. Both failure modes result in reduced performance,
premature failure, or at worst case, a walk home. Fuel pumps and modules may be returned due to installers not cleaning the gas tank properly, causing repair costs to skyrocket.

The vehicle's original fuel pump was installed into a clean tank, so to ensure the same level of performance, the new pump should go into a clean tank as well. An industry research study conducted by IMR Test Labs indicated that only 18 percent of technicians perform the fuel pump replacement procedure correctly by thoroughly cleaning the fuel tank, fuel filler and strainer if needed. That would indicate a full 82 percent of aftermarket fuel pumps purchased are being installed into tanks that are potentially contaminated.

One pint of lrontite Thoro-Flush will clean and strip the Ethanol Gel, Scale, Rust, Bio Diesel Residue along with other contaminates out of a fuel tank with a simple flush. Follow the directions on the bottle for Fuel Tank Cleaning.

    Dissolves copper stop leak.
A product that does what it says it does. Use on a Duramax Diesel with copper stop leak. Used the flush because I noticed the stop leak and noticed the color wasn’t all orange. It had a tinge of green. I was worried the mix would turn into sludge. Was thinking of using some other products but just didn’t think they would work. Then I came across this. One gallon dissolved most of the stop leak that was on the bottom of the exp tank. But some books and crannies still had some there. Used a second bottle and now the tank is clean. I’m going to assume if it cleaned the tank out, it also cleaned the water jackets, rad, and heater core. Some tips:Dissolve the powder in hot Tap water First. It will help dissolve all the crystals throughly. Then pour it into the rad or exp tank. You need to circulate this throughly through the system. Either drive or increase idle to bring the temp up enough to trigger the thermostat. Heat on full blast. Once it’s up to temp, then start the 12 minute timer. Then drain it. If you have a full dexcool failure, you have big chunks, it would be better to drain from a large hose rather than from a petcock. If possible, to create a lot of velocity in the system and really get stuff moving out, engine running, garden hose filling the system, drain the system at the same time. This turbulence generated by the water pressure and the circulation at the water pump will ensure most of the bits will get pulled out of the system. Then you can pull the hoses from the heater core and flush that out.
