The assembly directions, however, are absolutely terrible. I get that the manufacturer is trying to print one booklet to cover many models of bikes. It would be useful if they would identify which sets of directions go with which model numbers. To save you some headache, here are the things I had issues with. I'm pretty handy and far from stupid, but will admit I know next to nothing about bikes.
1. The directions state the handlebars are already attached to the post. This is not true. You need to remove the four hex nuts in the clamp and mount the handlebars yourself. This is obvious, but just counter to the directions.
2. This bike has hand brakes. The brake directions are written for many, many different types of brakes and say to identify yours. There are detailed instructions on how to adjust each type of brake. NONE OF THIS IS NEEDED for this model of bike. All you have to do is attach the front and rear brake cables to the hand brakes and you are done.
3. That said, this was not so easily done. The rear brake cable is obvious, but I had to pull on it a lot with pliers to get it to fit into the slots, as the exposed length of cable was too short. The front brake cable was coiled up around the front brake and I couldn't figure out where the end was. I knew it needed to be taut and finally realized it went up into the handlebar stem. Voila! Pull it out from the top of the stem. I did have to loosen the cable holder nut to pull out enough cable to fit into the handle then re-tighten the cable holder nut. The ferrules on both cables were too close to the little "nipple" that goes into the handle hence the need to pull out more cable.
I hope this helps. If I'd had better directions this probably would have taken 20-30 minutes to put together, but it took 2.5 hours.
A bike for a kid should not have to go a bicycle shop to be assembled. I don’t know why we paid full price for half a bike.
When we opened the box, the chain guard was broken; broken enough to the point we couldn't put it on the bike. I didn't feel it was a huge deal personally so we just didn't put one on.
The bike worked fine, was easy to put together and looked nice.
About 3 weeks of riding later, the brakes locked up. Not sure why it happened or how, but my husband fixed it and we moved on.
A week or so later, the kickstand wouldn't stay up. Then, once we got it to stay up, it was hitting the chain when my son would pedal. So, then we fixed that.
A week later, the chain began popping off. My son is 12 and knows how to put it back on, so he would. After putting it back on at least 3 times in about 10 minutes, he had had enough. So we tightened it up. A couple days later, it started again. We finally bought a new chain.
All of this happened in about 6 weeks of having the bike. I'm thankful we're pretty handy and can fix most things. Not everyone is though. I honestly expect things I pay this much for to last more than 6 weeks before they begin to fall apart.
Razor carries a good name and actually was recommended by a family member. But as time continues, whether it's a reputable name or not, everything seems to be made cheaper. Companies don't take pride in their products anymore and it shows.
At least after buying multiple bikes over the years, we'll probably have enough quality parts we've pulled off each of them to just build an actual good quality bike...... Frakenbike.

Llego en tiempo y forma. Se ve que está fabricada con buen material porque la está utilizando desde el 2 de junio y como no le llega bien al suelo, brinca de la bici cuando quiere frenar, así que ya se imaginaran los golpes que ha llevado.
