Poor Packaging
I’ve always loved Spirograph since I was a kid in the ‘60s and 70’s! This set truly takes me back, as the booklet includes [most] of the same designs that my old one did.My less than stellar rating is due to extremely flimsy, lousy packaging; especially being a 50th Anniversary Edition set!! I’m super disappointed that Play Monster couldn’t have at least created a commemorative tin for it to come in. Heck, even their most basic Design Set comes in tin, and that’s not even a special edition!This delicate box was shipped in a unprotected thin plastic envelope. The actual gears and parts are all undamaged, so I guess I’ll have to live with it. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a beautiful set, but I hate to return it to “try again” when it should have been done right the first time. I already sent an email to Play Monster requesting a tin (if they even have one) or at least a replacement box for this set.That is my reasoning for less than 5 stars. Oh, and my 4 star rating for Ease Of Use is because of what every Spirograph user already knows. Nothing is more frustrating than when an otherwise perfect drawing gets ruined by jumped wheel lol.
