I found out how good these are after I saw some cheaper version of this type of filter on clearance at Wal-mart and gave it a try thinking "why not?" Well, I almost immediately had an algae problem which I NEVER had before in the 2 years I've run my above-ground pool. Finally got it cleared up but that included going back to this Intex filter. Will never try anything else again! Couldn't have been a coincidence as this was the ONLY change in the maintenance of my pool.
