The design is comfortable and I can wear them for about six hours before noticing any annoyances.
The sound quality is great for what I paid for (although I have never owned this "high end" of a pair so I do not really have a great comparison for them). As for the reviews that say they get scratchy at loud volumes... You're probably have the volume way too far up and should turn it down before you become more deaf than you already are.
They are a rather robust pair of headphones. Though I have not really abused them, they feel sturdy and have taken a few bumps (one from my dog) and with absolutely fine.
The Bluetooth on these is way better than I expected. I can have my phone anywhere in my house and still be listening to music regardless of where I am, with the exception of going into my garage while my phone is on the other side of the house, then it starts to cut out. But, even after cutting out, once I get back within range they work perfectly fine. Pairing these headphones with my phone took about 15 seconds at most and will reconnect in about 5-7 seconds after being turned off and then back on again.
I also like how versatile these headphones are. The optional audio cord allows me to use it with my Xbox one, my computer, or my phone (if the batteries die). Also pairing to second devices is really easy to do.
The batteries on these headphones also surpassed my expectations because of how long they lasted. The description said 18 hours of use but I tend to get 20-22 hrs of use before having to recharge them, which is fantastic.
All in all, I love these headphones and as long as you take care of them, you should have no problems with then. They were well worth the money and I recommend them to others.
The construction seems plenty sturdy and nicely designed. I love the big button on the left earpiece for the volume and all the Bluetooth remote control. You can skip, pause, go back, share your tunes with others wearing a similar JBL set (not getting into the details, but it's a cool JBL feature). One thing: I wish they were slightly larger for big man ears. It's not uncomfortable, but not perfect. For me, it's still about the sound. Everything else is A-ok.
These are not noise cancellers, but as they fit fairly tight they do provide a degree of isolation. I wish the controls were on the RIGHT ear cup instead of the left. But the controls are easy to use. Paring was a snap. The manual isn’t clear, but whenever the headphones are powered but not connected to a device they automatically go into paring mode.
My main complaint is that the headphones use a proprietary charging cable, and JBL cannot supply extras! However, if you enter this search string "SLLEA 2.5mm Male Jack/ Plug To USB A Male Data Cable For MP3" into Amazon you can find an inexpensive compatible cable.
Here is the only problem I have found with them. I also have a pair of JBL j46BT Bluetooth earbuds and I have paired them with both my iPhone and my work PC. To switch between the device I want to listen to I disable Bluetooth on the device I don't want to use and turn the earbuds on - they connect to whatever device has an active Bluetooth signal. These headphones seem to be stuck on whatever device they were last paired with meaning if they are paired to my phone, and I disable Bluetooth on my phone, enable it on my PC and start the headphones they don't connect to anything until I tell the PC to "forget the device" and re-pair the headset. The same when switching back to my phone.

The build quality is good, not excellent. Everything feels like it should.
Sound quality is very good. This is the sixth pair of Bluetooth headphones I've owned, not the most expensive, but the best sounding by far. Accurate, balanced sound - if you're a bass maniac these won't impress.
Has a nice small discrete on off button and discrete controls.
My one irritation is that the headphone jack doubles as the charger jack meaning you need a non standard cable. I'd have preferred a micro USB jack and lose the headphone jack entirely.
Bluetooth pairing is quick and painless.
Mic seems to work just fine.
Update oct 18/2018
I’ve owned them a year now and they have held up well though the white colour gets dirty easily.
The sound quality still is very pleasing and they are my go to headphones.
I’m still annoyed by the charging cable: I tried to order a replacement clone cable and it was a fail.
Overall, a good deal for the money I paid. At ~$200+ not so much since their competition stiffens.
Update Jan 21/2018:
The plastic “glide rail” that attaches to the earphone itself and then goes into the head band has cracked. On one side of it is a metal “foil” that is now holding it together. I’ve used some dollarama super glue and so far the crack has been repaired but clearly this is a bit of a disappointment since I don’t treat my headphones that badly. I figure it’s just a matter of time now before the phones are broken entirely.
The white cups get discoloured and can’t seem to be cleaned back to white.
I’ve now had the opportunity to test these against the smaller and cheaper e40bt also from JBL and Marshall Major II headphones. The e40bt are smaller, lighter, and cheaper. Their sound isn’t quite as good (mainly because their smaller drivers can’t reproduce the same range of sound as well particularly bass) but overall I prefer them for their lightness and smaller size.
The Marshalls are now my favourite. I find them very comfortable and the sound quality very good - better by my ear than the e40bt and maybe even the 50s.
MID - 4.5 STARS
TREBLE - 5 STARS.
PRO: Bluetooth is very easy to connect. Sound from Wired or Wireless is the same. Very loud and easy to drive from smart phones. The blue color looks much better than pictures. The BASS is quite loud and deep and that how I like my music sounds.
CONS: Snug fit and Not as comfortable as other headphones (BOSE, SONY, BEAT) I have. Music sharing function only works with other JBL's. My Bose QuietComfort 25 headphone sounds more nature than this JBL headphone, but then it's also double the price.
