Color is nice and goes with any color scheme and seems to hold quite a bit of weight so far and has held up nicely over the last couple months would definitely recommend purchasing again I will probably end up buying another one or two more just for more storage in the classroom. The last thing I wanted to mention is it's not very wide which is nice and it's not very deep but the deep enough to keep the books and everything where they need to be.

I'm happy with the bookcases (purchased two of them): they perfectly match the desk I use in my cabinet, they are pretty quality construction and everything fits great. The instruction is very thorough and detailed. Made in USA (this is important for me as I try to support American made products even if they are more expensive than similar things manufactured in other parts of the world). I hope they will serve me years. Now, a couple of gripes that prevented 5-star rating: (1) I didn't bother to inspect all the mounting hardware (100+ pieces in a plastic bag) and after I almost finished assembling the second bookcase, I realized one of the metal cam screws is defective (its thread is almost completely missing). I was absolutely sure Sauder customer service will send me a replacement, but the fact that I will need to disassemble 3/4 of the bookcase to install that single cam screw is not fun at all. Plus I'm sure the construction is pretty solid and every shelf is kept in place by multiple cam screws and pins, so not having one is not a big deal. (2) This is made of engineered wood that is essentially a small pieces of real wood mixed with the glue compound and pressed. That glue has pretty strong smell and will go away only after a week or so. It is not disturbing, but the aroma is strong and I don't think it is 100% unsafe, so make sure you keep your windows opened to let it out.

This storage ladder flat pack is the toppest . I am no great shakes at carpentry but even I was able to put this product together with no hassle. The directions are superb. The holes were drilled absolutely exact. I put this together without a hitch. I worked for an hour, took a break then finished it up in one additional hour later in the day. There are 17 steps to put this together and if you just go at a steady pace and read each step it just slides together without a hitch. The finished product is beautiful and well worth the assembly time.

Easy to assemble. There were a couple of cross pieces at the end that didn't line up with the holes but I switched them around and they were fine. I've bought furniture from this manufacturer before and generally their instructions are pretty clear.
