    A few things: The item arrived well packaged and I damaged. It fits exactly where I want it to fit. I’m unsure of what type/size bags to use so I will continue to use the bags I was using (13 gallon). I like that I can pull each side out as needed. This will make it that much easier to recycle, especially if I have guests over.

    I have had it just over a week now and I really like it. The price was right and it's quiet and opens easily. Sharp looking and the right size too.

    I got the two sided variation to better track/note what we are consuming and using. In an effort to use less plastic and styrofoam it is important to actually note what you use. The two can system makes the tracking very easy. Quickly you can see where your consumption is leading. I live in the woods, so it was not necessary to get the composting, 3 bin, option. I just toss that outside.

    Not sure what the persons commenting on the cheap quality levers/feet are referencing. I have found the quality to be great. The trash side contains smell very well too (as the occasional scrap gets in there).

    I'd highly suggest this can combo.

    I love that it has 2 separate compartments for trash and recycling. The metal handles used to pull out the canister would catch on the trash in the bags and make it hard to remove them. I removed the metal handles and replaced them with heavy duty zip ties. Works like a charm. I've had mine for 4 years and never had a problem with them. Easy to clean the stainless steal and have never had problems with finger prints. Heavy duty, high quality. Well worth the price!

    I have only been using this trash can for a couple of months. So far it works very well. The aesthetic is nice, it could lose the stainless accents on the lid. The size is comparable to our old 13-gal and we use the same trash bags. The dual compartment is a great plus for recycling. Again, the size is right. The inner liners have handles, which makes taking out the recycling easy. The handle works a little awkwardly with the trash bag, but it's not a big deal. An improvement would be to have a couple of slits so you can pick up the liner with your hands rather than with the handle. Some reviews reported having issues with the trash bag. What I do is take the inner liner out, put the bag in, tighten the bag around the rim, give the slack a twist, and tuck it under the lip before putting the liner back in. Works pretty well and effortlessly. Lastly, the price. I was on the fence about buying a Simple Human product when the price literally went up $50 the next day. No way a trash can is worth $200. Give me a friggin break. The only con of this trashcan is the lack of handles on the lids. My trashcan sits in a bit of an awkward spot in the kitchen. It's just easier sometimes to use your hand to open the lid. I actually installed some small stainless handles to workaround this.

    I have had these bins (I purchased two) since 2018 and they are great. I love how easy it is to sort and they take up less room than other options. They are difficult to keep clean on the inside, lots of nooks where crumbs can find their way. However, they are amazing because one insert has cracked at the top, making it difficult to remove, the lip around the top has cracked so it gets stuck under the container. I contacted customer service and they are sending me replacement inserts. I love that I don't have to throw these away and buy a new bin!

    This is great. It fits along side the end of row of cabinets..the length is the same dimension as the depth of a standard kitchen cabinet. My only complaint is the you do have to use the foot pedal to raise a lid. You can't do it with your fingers. But the foot pedals work well. Each bin takes a regular tall kitchen bag. I use the standard recyclable drawstring ones and they fit. OK one other complaint: there's no hole to catch and fix the loose bag top as my old kitchen trash bin had.. too bad.. but I just pull on the drawstring and tie it to hold the bag. Which is fine.
    But my complains are minor and not deal breakers. I'm glad I got this. There isn't a lot of selection for a double bin like this on Amazon, and I wanted one that used the standard kitchen bags, so this was the best choice. And its handsome looking in my kitchen.
