Customers are mixed about the size of the tent. Some mention that it creates a decent sized vestibule outside the door, has plenty of room for them and a few belongings, and fits two adults perfectly. However, others say that it's way too small to really hold anything, the bag for packing is rather large, and the footprint doesn't cover the vestibulum space.

    Solid (Literally) But Flawed
After seemingly endless searching, pricing, and comparing, I finally picked this up a few months ago for my first backpacking tent, and it’s been on several trips since. In that time it has performed admirably, but not perfectly. While this is a four star review I really feel it should be closer to a three and a half (if not just a flat three) for a couple reasons.First of all - weight! I’m no gram weenie but this sucker is *not* light. I attached the pic above bc 1) I have no good ones of it pitched and 2) to show what it weighs with the body, poles, stakes, fly, and guylines and all their accompanying bags and straps. It’s also in a new stuff sack which ties in to my next point: the included bag for this tent is really awful. It’s waaaaay too large for the tent, and is a really inconvenient shape for trying to fit into/onto backpacks. Had to do a lot of rolling and tucking to make it workable. I finally this week caved and got a new sack at REI and it fits perfectly (it’s the 10L if you’re so inclined). Why it comes with the weird square bag I’ll never know, but it’s just too bulky. Spend the $10 to get a better one.The other big con of this tent is the body. It’s a lot of high nylon walls and very little mesh. That means it vents really badly. I slept in this tent on a bone dry night with temps in the 30s and woke up to condensation all over the place, including the inside of the fly. Made getting out that morning a tricky proposition! I also slept in this tent on a rainy night in the 70s-80s (more on that in a minute) and woke up feeling like I was suffocating it got so hot and muggy inside. Those walls are also pretty sloped, so one morning I woke up and found the foot of my sleeping bag had gotten damp in the night from brushing up against it. A little more verticality there would be great.Lastly, the vestibule is uh.... let’s say wanting. My pack fits, albeit very awkwardly, but there isn’t room for much else. Shoes maybe. It’s less than ideal, I will say. But it gets the job done fine. I can’t imagine two people sharing that vestibule, however. So it’s weighty, it doesn’t vent well, the vestibule isn’t great, and it comes in a horrible stuff sack. Sounds not great so far! However... there are some things it does really really well. For one, the price is hard to beat. I think mine had randomly dipped down to like, $112 when I got it. That’s a steal on a tent this quality. Because while it’s heavy, it’s also tough. After that rainy night I mentioned earlier, I woke up to a text from my mom about how the weather being terrible and rain hitting the house sideways. I never knew. There were strong winds, heavy rain, and plenty of thunder, but my tent didn’t get wet inside, and I certainly never realized how windy it was out. Before that I took it to a lake and camped exposed to very strong winds, and my tent stayed put, meaning even with the somewhat archaic and simple two pole design, it feels very sturdy. I like that a lot. It also is a breeze to put up and tear down, usually under five minutes each. There’s some side pockets to stash your crap in, and it’s pretty roomy if, like me, you use it as a one man tent. I have the Klymit Static V Luxe pad and still have some wiggle room on all sides of me. And while earlier I pegged it as a bit heavier, it’s truly not too bad compared to some other similarly priced 2 person tents out there. So, ultimately, while this tent has its share of flaws, they’re really nothing compared to the fact that you can get a light(ish), roomy, sturdy tent at such a low price. The only truly massive drawback is the lack of ventilation because, short that, this might be the best possible budget backpacking tent you could buy. It shines as a mild weather option, and can stand up to more adverse weather as well. It ain’t perfect, but I also won’t be buying another tent any time soon, so that makes it quite alright in my book.
