So onto the 900: I picked this up as a Amazon best buy return used in good condition and was around $33USD. It arrived with the odd mark on it but basically it was charged and paired quickly and was a legit/genuine item with so many fakes of this item being out. (and probably some very negative reviews reflect this as does phones with bad bluetooth and so on)
These are a much better made all in one unit and as people say those thin cables are now protected and don't dangle everywhere.. U sometimes have to push very hard to have the cable retract but the feature is both fantastic and necessary given experience with last 2 x tones. But again at $33USD this is a very well made unit.
The best way to describe the build quality now is it's like when a phone manufacturer goes from offering all plastic phones to all aluminium. The 900's feel as if they have a solid all in one build quality that while not aluminium is far improved on all the all plastic with dangling cables for the ear buds with a magnet that never worked.
Now I only have the cable(s) drawn down if they are in use. I am hoping this means they last longer. But again bonus of buying the $33USD versions used from amazon is i'm not exposed to the full cost. I would recommend these at under $90 though as they offer a solution i haven't seen in many other alternatives in this price bracket.
What I can't recommend enough, having started doing this with my first Tones is happily spending $15 on good quality earbuds to improve the sound by improving the fit and materials that go into your ear and drive the sound- I grabbed the color matching Comply foam buds which on their website u can select exact for Tone 900s (so u dont have to try to get ear buds to fit the Tones that are too small etc... which can be a real pain) So Complys are great and add reasonance to the sound and make it sound deeper and better. (i just checked my invoice from them i ordered- T-400
(Color: Platinum, Size: M, Pack: 3 Pair: SKU 17-40101-00 $14.95) You can see photos in this post.
Actually seems they also sell them here at Amazon (but on website u can specifically choose the LG Tone 900 Infinims model so you are guaranteed of getting one that fits the 900s perfectly):
http://www.amazon.com/Comply-T-400-Isolation-Earphone-Platinum/dp/B001DXGBII
As for the experience from there- sound and volume are great (plus improved from 2 models i had think they were 730s and 750s)
Again for phone calls i havent found a better experience... battery life awesome.. pair really quickly.. and the 900's discretely fit under the collar of a polo shirt or jacket.. Also they seem to have minimised the annoying feature where the light used to flash too much when using them in bed at night in a dark room.
I tried to move to the over ear Jabra Moves and they are great for listening but awful in public or phone calls.. so i've got a happy medium where for under $150 i have the LG Tone 900's (used returns from bestbuy at amazon but with new Comply Foam medium size isolation buds in platinum which colour match 900s) and new Jabra Moves.
Well done LG ! Just make the thin cable a bit more kevlar thick and make the retracting function a bit easier to work/push/depress/retract!

I tried to register my new tone infinim on the LG website but when I got to the web page it asked me for IMEI number. I looked everywhere but couldn't find an IMEI number so I spoke with LG live chat and the representative said IMEI is for phones and that i'm registering the wrong product. So, I sent him the link to show him, he thanked me for letting him know about the error and told me that I can't register my product until they remove the IMEI number required box on that web page.
Update:
2 more days and I've owned this product for 3 weeks, um.. so far there hasn't been any technical problems, everything is working fine and how it should be. I bring the infinim out with me pretty much everywhere I go. There is a grocery store across the street from where I live and I go there a lot to buy drinks and snacks when I'm not at the supermarket doing groceries so they know me quite well. The second day after I got the infinim the employees that work there were curious about what I'm wearing on my neck because they never seen it before so I told them about the infinim. Today I went to the store again and I see three of the people working there wearing the older models of LG bluetooth neckbands and I was so surprised that I got them into getting something similar haha. Anyways, The only problem is that I lost a lot of weight again so like when I'm jogging with the Infinim tends to shift around I'm thinking because it's loose now because of my weight loss, my traps are a bit asymmetrical OR the hoodie I'm wearing is moving it while i'm jogging. But I guess I'll find out when spring and summer comes so I don't need to wear a hoodie to jog(I don't jog on treadmills because it makes me feel like a hamster trapped in a room, and running on a hamster wheel).
