From what I’ve been reading this is Shimano's new budget lineup for July 2015 (tx800 series). As with all Shimano gear it came well packaged. I used this to go from 6 speeds in the rear to 8 speeds. I ended up using a derailleur adapter for this because my bike frame didn’t have a newer removable rear derailleur mount. It is a standard set-up rear derailleur. Set-up was straight forward, so I have no complaints there, just follow the directions.
The action and accuracy of this derailleur was awesome. After I got it set up, It was really easy to dial in just right. The adjuster on this derailleur has a detent on it so you can do one or two clicks at a time to get it just right. The cogs were really smooth, and have sealed bearings. Overall, for what I paid for this rear derailleur and what came in the mail is incredible. You get a lot of accuracy and value out of Shimano’s new Tourney TX800 lineup. I’m impressed and would buy again.
