Quality Control Issues Mar an Otherwise Great Table
My wife and I were looking for a board gaming table to replace an old resin folding table that we have been using for years. We generally have a varied amount of players -- anywhere from the two of us all the way up to 10. With this in mind, we wanted a table that was a little wider and would more comfortably accommodate more players as needed. After lots of research and reading reviews, I settled on this product. I really liked (and still like) the concept of a convertible table that switches from console, rectangular table, slightly larger dining table, to all the way to a giant dining table. When the product arrived, the box was in decent condition -- only a few dents here or there. My wife and I were impressed by the weight of the product and it didn't feel cheap at all. Assembly was a cinch, as we had to do was attach the four legs. Once we had done that, we removed the two included leafs and that was all. Then we noticed the issues. The first problem was that this table was almost impossible to convert. The mechanism is wood sliding on wood, and we were encountering all kinds of resistance. After a good deal of struggling, we managed to open the table, but now it had opened unevenly and was even harder to move. After struggling to close the table again, we managed to open it more evenly, which helped, but did not completely fix the issue. Then we noticed the cosmetic damage. When in console mode, the table is actually two layers deep, connected by a several hinges. When we opened the table, it was revealed that the hinges had damaged the tabletop (this is a result of poor design) in all but one of the places in which there was a hinge. You can see this in my photos. Some of the damage is complete superficial, but one of them left a pretty good hole in the tabletop and exposed the fleshy internals of the table. There is also a pretty good scratch on the table. As we continued to open the table and explore the various configurations (and continued to struggle to open and close the table evenly), we realized that at the largest configuration, the table bows inward even though there is an hidden fifth leg. The leg does absolutely nothing, and I would be afraid to leave the table like this for too long or to have anyone lean against it while playing a game. We ended up settling on the second-to-largest size.I briefly considered returning the table as a result of the issues we were encountering and the cosmetic damage, but it seemed like too much of a pain to be worth it. The table still looks nice, but I know I was always be bothered by the nicks where the hinges are. For gaming, we decided to cover the table to with a neoprene gaming mat.Overall, this table serves its purpose as our gaming surface. I can overlook the cosmetic damage and design flaws because it is not as expensive as comparably large tables and we use it primarily for gaming (it is not our main dining table). However, I would be cautious about using this as your main dining surface due to the many issues we have encountered.I have some reservations about recommending this product, but if you are looking for a relatively inexpensive secondary surface or are really in a crunch for space, this might be the table for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars FOUR Sizes, Beautiful Finish, and Easy Assembly
Reviewed in the United States on May 13, 2016
UPDATE: 3 YEARS LATER: Still love the table, though the corners are a little worn (see pic), and I can see it is particle board underneath. So I'm a little disappointed that the sellers say it's "solid wood." But I would still buy this table again! The table has been beautiful, flexible in sizes, and very sturdy. Meets all our needs.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: The product pics don't do justice to this beautiful table. In real life, it looks like solid stained wood to me (though I'm not sure what it really is), and I am picky about wood products. We expected three sizes, but there are actually four:

1) the small desk size (see my pic),
2) the fairly square size,
3) a larger size adding one leaf inserted, which is our favorite size and not indicated on the product page (see pic)
4) and the largest size with both leaves inserted.

At the largest size, the table easily seats 6 or more, but it’s a little large for our house. We shopped exhaustively for a nice convertible dining room able in our price range and were not having much luck at IKEA, Target, Walmart, or used furniture stores, until we saw this one on Amazon—in a league of its own. The color is a rich, warm walnut; then, if you shine a warm light on it, the color can even seem to have some red hues (I took one pic with the light on and one with it off, to demonstrate). It’s a versatile color that can easily coordinate with cherry, walnut and darker colors, and I opted to pair it with white contemporary chairs with light wood, just to brighten the feel of my house. My husband and I were both surprised by the thickness and beauty of the table when we opened the box. We were also surprised by how quickly this went together. You just bolt the legs on; everything else is already assembled. We could not be more thrilled with this beautiful table, especially for the price. I would give it 6 stars if I could.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for small apartments!
Reviewed in the United States on March 10, 2020
UPDATE: 3 YEARS LATER AND STILL HOLDING UP WELL! Totally forgot about the fifth leg and haven’t used it since I think making my initial review haha its noticeable now only starting this 3rd year that the middle of the table once fully expanded kind of dips down but was an easy fix after putting the 5th leg down and the dip is gone. Only thing is when you move the table with the 5th leg down, its easy for it to get knocked out of place and doesn’t move easily with the rest of the table. Other than that this table has stood up to 3 big moves and maybe a hundred retract and expands. Its still going strong! Tip is to get those furniture felt pads for the legs so it can move easily when you want to change the size of the table!

This is by far my best investment, I’m sure of that! It can be small enough to be a small desk, but can also get big enough to sit at most 10 (might be a little tight but it will definitely do)!
It’s pretty sturdy, though it comes with a weirdly placed wood that can come down as an extra foot in the middle of the table to keep the table up with all the leaves put in (doesn’t have to be all though).
It’s kind of hard to pull to expand it and to retract it because its all wood. But as long as you have one other person to help you expand it or have a wall to help you retract it, you should be fine! There’s a bit of a resistance, but other than that its perfect!
You have to put the leaves (extra panels to expand) away because they can’t be stored in the table, and the drawers are fake.
But it’s definitely worth it! We’ve already expanded and retracted it dozens of times over the last couple of months and it still holds up like new!
Try it out because its amazing with the price and the quality!

1.0 out of 5 stars Very poorly made, not a good purchase
Reviewed in the United States on September 21, 2023
Box came damaged and my hope was that the table wasn't damaged, it had a few damage marks. But worse than that is the fact that the inserts do not line up with the table no matter how you place them or switch sides. The pegs are off by almost 1/2 inch. When I called customer service they wanted me to print a label and take it to UPS. There is no way I can lift this to get it to my car. And I have to repackage it in its damaged box, if I can even figure out how to get it all back in there. They did decide to have UPS pick it up but didn't ask me what day would work for me. Just told me tomorrow between 8 am and 8 pm. I will NEVER order from this company again. Big waste of my energy and time.
