Long answer: I have previously ordered a 150 bucks, one of those Att/Verizon cell phone boosters with an indoor antenna pointing up (You will easy find it here on amazon), it DID NOT work at all. I have returned and completely gave up on these boosters thinking its bs. I live in a 5000sqf house, rural area no cable internet over here, and my walls are made of wood/concrete with a thick profile, and funny but I have 4/5 bar reception when I get up on my roof, but because of the thick walls, I barely get 1 bar through out the entire house. My reception before trying this booster out, was 0-1 of 4g band, and 0 of 5Ge from ATT. Internet speed was terrible and I would wait for 2-3 min before buffing is over in order to watch a 240p video - welcome to the 2020!
As mentioned before, I have tried the cheap booster, and I told myself I will NOW buy one the most expensive one in order to try one more time, and I wanted to go with the expensive one so I don't blame myself later for not trying out! at lease I could of return it right away if it didn't work!
Im happy that I have tried it!!! It worked! It transmitted the signal that I was getting up on the roof (3-4 bars of 4g), down in my living room! This product claims its good for a big house up to 5000sqf, I get full signal only in my living room where my indoor antenna is, and in my dining room as well, in my other rooms I get 2 bars. Now the tricky part is, You have to have someone up on the roof who will move the boosters outdoor antenna around, its directional antenna, and you have to find the best angle. I see some people are complying how it did not work at all, but YOU HAVE TO POINT TO THE RIGHT DIRECTION! :) Once you have find the sweet spot, You have to lock the outdoor antenna NOT TO MOVE.
I would add one more thing, the reception on 4g is always better then on 5Ge, if you someone who need a stronger signal to talk and you don't need a full speed data (internet speed), I would switch in the phone settings for receive 4g only! You will certainly get a better reception specially if you use a booster. Now if you need a higher speed internet on your cell phone device, 5Ge is much faster internet, but it drops the reception signal at least for 1 bar less from 4g (sometimes you will get even 2 bars in drops). Doesn't matter if you have an android or iPhone, on both of these device you can manually switch from 4g to 5Ge(LTE)
After installation of this 500 bucks booster, I now get 3-4 bars of 4G, download speed 4-5mbs (upload 1.5-2mbs)
and 5Ge solid 2 bars with internet download speed 25-30mbs (upload 5-7mbs)
Remember I did not get any signal before, barely 1 bar!
The booster worked well, I finally feel like I don't live in the 90's anymore with Kbs speeds and 0 reception.
PS. Just to add one more thing, the installation is simple, you plug the booster to the wall plug and one cable from the booster goes to the indoor receiver which you hang on the wall, and the other cable from the booster to the outside antenna. that's it - 15 min job. Worth of trying out, and if not remember you can always return it!
