I was hesitant because the price was so much more affordable than others. I read the reviews and trusted more experienced diver’s judgement. Used for the first time in Maldives, needed the adapter but it’s an easy fix and most dive shops will accommodate. It comes with two sets as well so great if shopping for two or just need a back up. I highly recommend, with stood the multiple 10hr flights in a standard luggage bag ! I highly recommended 👌🏻

This set up works great for a beginner set for our 10 year old. I wish you could adjust the flow as it is super aggressive and strong which scares my 10 year old. When it free flows it’s super strong and none of our aqualung set ups do this and that is what we are used too. Other than the strong flow it is nice. We will probably need to get a different hose for the octo as it’s too long for our 10 year old. That probably wouldn’t be an issue for an adult, so not a complaint. Just a comment that might help another junior diver looking at this as an option. The first stage takes some getting used to as it is different than our aqualung set ups and the hoses arc up before coming down vs straight out and down to the BC. Nothing is wrong with the first stage it’s just different.

Go this for my wife for her dive gear. We have used it four times, once at 6o ft for 30 mins and the other times at 30-40 ft for up to 60 minutes. it has no problems and works well. The octo has not randomly freeflowed. my wife says she can breathe better with it than some of the higher-priced regs she has rented. the only negative is that you cannot adjust the airflow like you. can on more expensive regs.

We ordered the "like new" set TWO different times, hoping that the 1st time it was just a mistake that a part was missing, but the 2nd time, all parts were there - but one had an incorrect fitting on one of the hoses. We aren't returning it since we need it, and don't have time to go through the hassle of another return, so we will just buy another piece separately to make the set work. All that to say - DON'T TRUST the "like new".
