This TV has been great for me to take through my third year of college. It’s easy to use and has many great qualities including its size, screen, and price!
About a year ago, this became the first (and only) TV I’ve ever purchased. I put it together only to realize that the screen had big areas of dead pixels. I was pretty disappointed, but my replacement came very quickly, and without any troubles. It has been in my bedroom ever since.
The Good
1. It was very easy to put together. If you don’t want to have to read instructions or put much effort in, you should be good with this product. All it takes is a few screws, which are given to you, to attach the TV to the stand. It was also easy to take apart and re-box the TV, which I had to do for the replacement and to move the TV to my different homes throughout the year.
2. The size of the TV also made those moves easy. You may expect the 40-inch TV to be heavy or large for lifting, but handy packaging and a light weight make it much easier. Also, the TV fills up a bedroom very nicely, and the thin frame makes the screen look even bigger.
3. Cable and Wi-Fi setup was also a painless process. Some commenters mention problems with slow Netflix connection, etc., but these
complaints are most likely due to internet problems. Even if you need to log into a browser to access your Wi-Fi, this TV allows you to do that. Once you are connected to internet, Netflix, Amazon, and other apps are easy to navigate.
4. The screen resolution provides a clear picture with beautiful color, and the internal speakers sufficiently fill a room.
5. The price is unbeatable!
The Bad
Nothing about this product jumps out to me as a negative, but one thing that could be improved upon would be the remote. Perhaps by adding a keyboard to one side, internet navigation (specifically typing) would be faster.
If you’re looking for a smart but basic TV at a low cost, this one is the perfect choice!
