Oh, my, word! I will NEVER go back to cheesecloth to make my nut and hemp milks!
This Organic Cotton Nut Milk Bag is fantastic.
I kept waiting for it to pop a hole, because I squeeze and twist every last drop of liquid that I can when making homemade milks.
Not only does it not tear, but cleanup is a breeze. The seamless bottom is perfect.
It fits nicely in my pyrex bowl.
When finished draining and squeezing I simply hold it upside down over a container and let the large chunks fall out, then turn it inside out to let the rest of the particles fall into the bowl.
Then to clean, I run it under my kitchen sink faucet using the spray (on my faucet) with a drop of dishwashing liquid. I spray the reaming particles off then simply swish it around to clean, switching the faucet back to stream. No need to launder!
It dries very fast hanging over my oven handle.
The almond milk that I make using this bag is so extra creamy I can't believe I didn't buy it sooner.

I'm buying another bag right now. I believe it's durability will last a long time - a great cost saving over cheesecloth.
Can't say enough good about it. (I hated, HATED using cheesecloth! Such a mess and hassle!)
I must say that I pop the skins off the almonds and one must always dump out the soaking water. Almonds are usually difficult for most people to digest because of an enzyme-inhibiting substance in their brown coating. Soaking or sprouting removes this inhibitor so that the enzymes secreted during digestion can do their job. I pop off the skins because I like the look and taste of the milk without them.

A must-have for making nut milks!
I just made some fresh coconut milk that is out of this world good, thanks to this bag! While my Vitamix already does an amazing job at breaking down the pulp, this bag gives it the "final touch". My milk came out smooth, creamy, and insanely good. It was so easy to use- I just dumped in the milk and twisted. I didn't even use the green elastic, which may be helpful if you have lots of pulp. After using I'm left with some extra pulp that I can use as flour or a mix-in later. For cleanup I just rinsed, turned inside out and rinsed again, then hung up to dry. Material is soft yet durable and I can see me getting lots of use out of it. So happy with my purchase!

I have been using Organic Family Products Almond Milk Bag about a month now. The bag arrived very fast. I'm a Natural Chef and have been using nut bags for years but I'm truly impressed with this one. The quality of the cotton is outstanding, stronger and heavier then other bags. It is bigger which is so helpful. The rubber band enclosure is genius. It was about time somebody came out with it. I use my nut bag to make Almond, Walnut, Cashew and Mixed Nut Milks and Cashew and Almond Cheeses. Cleaning is super easy, I just wash it after each use under running water in the sink and air dry. In my opinion this bag out performs any other nut bags I have used before. I couldn't been happier. This Nut Bag is an essential tool in a healthy kitchen. Highly recommend it!
