I’ve never used gloves in the gym before, but since I noticed calluses forming on my hands as I went up in weight I decided it was time to give it a try. I got the XS pair (though it was advised I ordered the XXS—I’d suggest going with your usual size instead of the suggested size) and they fit nicely. They’re snug around the wrists so they support you as you lift (I noticed they’re particularly useful for shoulder presses) and I felt like the grippy part on the outside of the gloves provided great traction (great for RDLs). The grip support provided by these gloves has removed my need for lifting straps at the moment, & I’m pleased with how they kind of “double” as lifting straps for now. I’m happy with my purchase and think the value of the gloves for the money spent is well worth it!

I purchased these exactly one year ago today, so here is my review:

They're decent gloves for 20 bucks. They might as well have left off the pads on the hands, because they began to rip off almost immediately. If you're doing any kind of barbell or free weight work that has a rough grip, they will ruin these gloves pretty fast.

However, once the pads wore off the gloves themselves are still in good shape. They provide a solid grip and the wrist support is fantastic. I got these to protect my hands since I have a skin condition which causes my hands to split open and bleed for weeks if they're damaged in any way, and these have done exactly that. The seams along the edges have started to split as well and some of the binding will fall off soon. Great purchase for 20 bucks, but not good for more than a year or two.

I got these after having never worn gloves and taking pride in the calluses that i'd get from lifting. Then doing so cleans i tore callus and couldn't really grip anymore. I ordered these the same day and the next day I was lifting again with a very sore hand, but i couldn't feel a thing! The gloves are SO padded. I always take my wedding ring off, but now I keep that on too as I can't feel anything!

These gloves are perfect for the job and feel high quality. Super supportive and very protective. I don't lift without them now.
