I have never tried dry brushing but I have very dry skin and have wondered if this would help. I researched different brushes and I decided to try out this set. The price was very competitive with similar products. I have also been making improvements to my skin care regiment and specifically wanted to try out dry brushing my face but wanted both a body brush and a face brush. I wasn't sure about face brushing since facial skin is so delicate. When I received the set it was in a very nice package that would be great as a gift but the face brush seemed a little rough to me. I tried it out anyway, gently at first. My skin has never been so soft or bright and brushing is so relaxing that I want to do it every day (I've been doing every other day to make sure my skin can handle it). I was a little worried that you could overdo it with this. It doesnt hurt but it is definitely getting off the dead skin. But so far I haven't seen any signs I'm overexfoliating (dry patches, redness, sensitivity, etc) and my skin has never looked or felt better. I highly recommend this set.
On the customer service side, first off, they provide all the instructions to help you get started in the package and via message. Second, the strap broke on my body brush my third time using it. It was still usable since it also has a detachable handle but just not quite as easy to use. I really looked it over and found that it didn't appear to be poor manufacturing. It just looked like a fluke that the strap was secured a little too far toward the end on this one side. I decided to contact the company to see what would happen. I thought that at the very least it would be somewhat of a hassle to return the defective item or something. I was way wrong. I didn't have to lift a finger besides letting them know. The company shipped out a new set immediately and I had it the next day. Moreover, they apologized and seemed genuinely surprised and concerned that it had broken. This is so rare in customer service these days. I am so happy with this purchase and will definitely buy more as gifts.

Makes my skin feel soft
I love to dry brush before a shower, and especially before a bath, because it softens your skin before you even shower/bathe. I feel a difference everytime I use these brushes, from literally the first time I used them. It's also just a really great massage anytime. After I use it, my skin feels tingly and awake. It makes it even more rewarding to shower and then slather lotion on my skin after using these.The first couple of times you use the brushes, you will probably have to get used to the roughness, and some of the bristles might fall out, but that is completely normal. Honestly, my only issue is that I forget to use the brushes most mornings because I'm not accustomed to the routine yet. But everytime I do it, I'm so thrilled with how my skin feels immediately ever.This is a really high quality set. It just feels sturdy as hell. The brush set is soft, but is still definitely scratchy enough to exfoliate my dry skin. It is especially great for when you have an itch on your back, it's soothing and does double duty :P It is really easy to use without the handle, but having the long handle is ideal when I'm trying to get my back and the back of my legs, so I just leave the handle on. It also has a hanging loop on the long handle, which makes it perfect to hang and dry. You can also wash this with soap and water to keep it clean.The bristles of the brushes are made of 100% boar bristles and the whole brush is made of Chinese cherry wood.
