I'm not really a protein powder connoisseur, but this isn't too bad.I got the idea from another store-bought product to add casein powder to my morning coffee to add a bit of protein to it.In small doses, it's tasteless. Add a bit too much and it definitely tastes like the other protein powders I've tried over the years.It is SUPER fine so be careful or it gets dust everywhere. (worse than powdered sugar)

Casein protein with no fillers or additives. I mix in a Blender Bottle, with milk. Tastes just fine like that. I do get some minor grit usually, but I just chug it down anyway. I find that the colder the milk is, the better it seems to mix.

The bags could be so much better. A sliding zipper top could have been better. My luck with the bags is about a 50/50 chance of the zip locks working, so I'm glad I had an empty jar of some other protein available to empty this bag out and store the powder safely.

Every casein that I've consumed has a chalky consistency to it and this one is no different. The taste is palatable but I would not go so far to call it a "good" taste. Aftertaste is tolerable as well. Tips for mixing (casein is not very water soluble):

- If possible, mix up with a blender bottle at least 4 hours in advance to allow clumps to dissolve.
- I've found that starting with warm tap water and refrigerating produces the best results.
- If you cannot mix in advance, a blender works wonders.
- If no blender is available, a gentle side to side rocking with a blender bottle has produced the best results for me.
- Do not mix ice in until well blended. The casein seems to clump to the cubes and resist dissolving.
- Do not poor casein into an empty blender bottle. It won't mix. Make sure theirs at least an inch or so of water at the bottom prior to pouring.
- Put the steel shaker ball into the cup AFTER the casein. It helps keep the casein from floating to the top of the cup as you poor water in.

Bulksupplements products are notorious for poor re-zipping on their resealable bags as the protein invades the "zip" and makes it impossible to close. I've purchased the 21 cup Rubbermaid containers for both my whey and casein with excellent results (link at the end of this review). I also understand the frustration that this product does not come with a measuring spoon. I utilize a scale and measure to just under 1.1 ounces (30 grams) of both my whey and casein. I've yet to find a measure cup combination that consistently measures the 30 gram serving size.

A lengthy review, I know. But, it strikes at many of the main complaints that people have about this product. Most of the complaints can be applied to casein protein as a whole rather than this specific product. If you're researching casein you likely know how you'd want to use it (protein feed while sleeping, typically) so I won't go there. I've tried many, many, many types of casein and this is the cleanest and cheapest that I've found. Been using it for 6 months now without issue, other than the mixing problems.

What I don’t like is the texture of this product but you can change that by adding to it to make it taste a little better. It does help bulk you up. I take mines at night right before bed and in a short time I can see some gains. A must try if serious about adding some bulk to your body frame.
