Whitmore portable wardrobe didn't last very long for me

Whitmore portable wardrobe didn't last very long for me
I set this wardrobe up following directions. Although I did so about 10months after I received it. The box remained unopened & unbothered. I was buying things to save space & money to use before I moved into my permanent house. I set this up with about 56 hangers. After 3 weeks I noticed a slight tilt. So I attempted to rearrange the clothing inside of it thinking that was the reason. About a month after that it was tilting pretty bad. I contacted a construction buddy of mine to see if they can come look at it for me or help me. I could not afford another one. They came & placed a hook into the wall to connect to the top bar of the wardrobe and suggested using real wood instead of 1 of these cause they buckle. He also said the wall wouldn't hold it with the hook very long since where i had it wasn't on a stud. It lasted about 2 months though. The photos you see are what's happened 2 me in matter of 4 months with 56 hangers: ranging from light weight scarves to denim jeans(jeans being least amount) to dresses & hoodies. I guess this extra large wardrobe can't hold 56 hangers. I wish they could come up with a better design of these wardrobes but if it were metal that won't easily bend or good wood that'll stand, itd cost more.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good value
Reviewed in the United States on January 16, 2021
So we are giving this Four Star’s overall that even though only three stars for each of the attributes like easy to assemble, etc. Basically it’s under $60 for a very large amount of temporary clothes storage that is not too bad looking. At first we thought it was gonna be quick to put together but be careful when you get it because the directions are a little bit odd stacked vertically rather than read left to right so we ended up having to take the top off to be able to put the outer fabric onto the poles. Definitely better as a two person assembly job and budget at least 40 minutes time. Seems like it would not be sturdy enough for long-term permanent use but we are using it for temporary sorting and storage and we think that it might end up being a great thing to put in our attic for seasonal storage.

1.0 out of 5 stars It broke during assembly!
Reviewed in Canada on January 11, 2023
Before i start: I am really good at this stuff. Assembling/disassembling furniture or anything for that matter is my Forte!
But putting together this wardrobe was a nightmare!
Honestly I made a mistake. I misunderstood the instructions and ended up with the entire frame constructed and the cover still not installed. (I realised this when I tried to pull the fabric over and ripped it in the process! When I reread the instructions I tried to remove the top part (so i could slide on the cover using the holes in the bottom of the cover instead) but it was really fixed in there! With a firm tap and push I literally broke the plastic base with my foot! Thought that's ok I can just order another part but then I broke a pole! I'm not a very strong person i couldnt believe how incredibly fragile the frame is!
