I WOULD NOT STORE HEAVY COATS AND ITEMS IN THIS CLOSET. With the cover properly in place, it very stable. I just think that this would push the issue. I bought it for my daughter's poofy cosplay costumes.
Assembly - If you are the type to ignore the assembly instructions - do not buy this product! Also, DO NOT remove the plastic sleeves that the rods come in. The assembly letters are on the plastic - not on the rods.
If you read the instructions, think about what you are planning to do, and put it together carefully and methodically, you will have NO problem getting the canvas cover to fit.
I tried to be a smart a** and put it together by myself, when the instructions clearly stated that it was a two person assembly. I cried UNCLE when I was attempting to pull the cover over the finished frame. My daughter held one side of the canvas while I pulled up the other.
The cover was packaged very well, but assembly is going to wrinkle up the plastic clear cover, if I may be so anal.
Assembly took well under an hour. I will see how pleased my daughter is when she sees it and may have a follow-up note when she starts putting her ball gowns in the closet.
For now, I would give this product a thumbs up and suggest that you ignore the low reviews griping about assembly issues.
No idea about the reviews calling this hard to build and/or unsturdy.
I put it together in about 20 minutes. I used a rubber mallet at each step to make sure all rods were in all the way. For the cover, I unzipped it and laid it around the inner structure. Once I had to extend the cover, I circled it lifting the cover about 6" each time I got to a corner until I had enough leeway to get the cover over the top without issue. I'm 5"2", and while the cover part would have been easier with another person, I was able to do it myself with some patience. I have 14 weddings gowns in it and am about to purchase another closet for some other excess merchandise.
For those wondering about the bottom, the cover does have a bottom, so all sides are enclosed, the bottom isn't open to the floor.

It is sturdy and has great capacity when assembled. I did the assembly steps in slightly different order to make it easier for myself. I also needed the help from a friend for 1 step which required the cloth to be pulled over the frame.
All assembled in about 30min and works as advertised.
But putting together this wardrobe was a nightmare!
Honestly I made a mistake. I misunderstood the instructions and ended up with the entire frame constructed and the cover still not installed. (I realised this when I tried to pull the fabric over and ripped it in the process! When I reread the instructions I tried to remove the top part (so i could slide on the cover using the holes in the bottom of the cover instead) but it was really fixed in there! With a firm tap and push I literally broke the plastic base with my foot! Thought that's ok I can just order another part but then I broke a pole! I'm not a very strong person i couldnt believe how incredibly fragile the frame is!

It holds a lot of clothing and looks nice too.
