Brother Scan n Cut 2 Is Superior; VERY Happy I Bought It
I am SO very happy I bought this! I've envied my sister's Silhouette machine for years, and did LOTS of research online before deciding to purchase the Brother Scan n Cut 2. A friend had returned hers, claiming it was too hard to figure out, but after watching lots of comparison and training videos on YouTube (Julie Fei-Fan Balzer's are extra helpful), I felt it was worth taking a chance, and Amazon had the best price. I especially liked that I could take pictures from ANYWHERE, trace them, and cut them - even my own handwriting!I purchased a sampler pack of Siser easy weed heat transfer sheets, and vinyl and cardstock from our local store (this didn't come with any materials). In the two weeks I've had this, I've made some cute place cards, personalized a pillow, and made banners and cards so far. I'm making cute little boxes to hold candy next. The detailed cutting with this machine is INCREDIBLE! Check out my pictures to see the tiny cuts in the leaves - amazing! And if I'm not sure how to do something, I pop over to Pinterest or YouTube and somebody has my answers already on there.Important to note: I have had great luck importing random pictures and using the "Image Tracing" feature for pictures I've drawn or found online. I've also found SVG files that Cricut and Silhouette users have shared (free ones exist!), with great success. Yes, this could have been a tricky process if I tried to figure it out alone, but watching the videos online have been incredibly helpful. So when you order this, spend some time watching beginner tutorials on the Brother website [...] and YouTube so you can jump right in when it arrives at your door.
