Loom arrived as an easy to assemble kit. Sturdy construction. Lovely to weave on. I wish the stand had the side tables to hold the shuttle but not a huge deal. Shipped quickly.

I’ve just finished weaving my first project on this loom, it is twice as big as my Schacht loom so it took some adjustment in terms of moving the shuttle back and forth. The loom itself looks and feels sturdy, the stand feels light. It’s good that it is detachable and I can move it around the house.
I don’t normally write reviews, but this deserves a 5 star rating. I have never used a loom before, and found it easy to assemble and even easier to start a project following the videos in the Ashford website. Shipping was lightening fast, arriving almost two weeks earlier than stated.
My daughter is now addicted to weaving! We are going to move my fabric stash to put yarn on the shelves. Our craft room has all the shelves it can hold. Two sewing machine stations a longarm a serger plus a very large desk, not ours my daughter's husband's.
This is a wonderful little loom. I got the stand, too. I have a 52 inch Macomber loom that I’ve had for 3 decades, but this small loom is great for the many scarves I weave each winter. It’s much easier to warp, too!
I've been weaving on the Ashford rigid heddle loom for about 6 months as a beginning weaver. It is a high quality loom, easy to assemble and use and there are plenty of resources out there to teach and support beginning weavers. The second heddle is much appreciated and raises the loom functionality considerably. My only serious complaint is with the floor stand. When I pull the heddle forward to "beat" the weave into place the whole setup rocks forward even when my feet push down on the center brace. I have tried placing heavy weights on the brace with limited success. I think adding extensions to the front of the stand is the solution but I have hesitated to drill any holes yet. There don't seem to be any fixes online for this problem. And it isn't like I'm applying vast amounts of pressure to the heddle. I'm a small woman with not much pressure to spare! Other than that I highly recommend the Ashford loom. I wouldn't recommend using it without the stand unless you have good clamps available to keep it stable. The attachment bolts on the stand need to be retightened and bout once a month
I am happy with this loom and stand. I waxed them before I put them together and will rewax after 1 month because it is very dry in my house in the winter. What I don't like is the way the reeds slip out in the upper position. I am trying different things to prevent this and still make it easy to change reed position. I have made several pillow covers, table runners, and shawls so far. The hardest part is warping the loom. The rest is easy.
