Prior to buying, the attributes I was seeking were: lightweight, ease of deploying it/taking it down, reasonable space/shade provided
This tent provided all of those to my great satisfaction.
The size worked great for us, as my family only needed it for breaks to eat lunch, dry off to apply more sunscreen, and to get some shade for myself, as my wife stays in the sun nearly 100% of the time. We had our beach bags in it, along with a cooler, and my beach chair. My two kids (5 and 8 currently) fit in there fine, while I had myself and the aforementioned items in there.
The ease of putting it up and taking it down, along with the light weight, were excellent features. For me, it was very easy to deploy and even easier to take down. The tent was held down adequately by the integrated sandbag pouches, but I also had the cooler holding one side down and put our beach wagon on top of the other side's sandbag pouch to ensure it didn't go anywhere. I never bothered with stakes, and we had no issues in pretty substantial, consistent wind.
I could imagine how people could break the folding, locking legs at the front as some have mentioned in their reviews, but the Pacific Breeze EasyUp Beach Tent Deluxe XL y might have been somewhat impatient, as I found them easy to use and just have to not force things. It is feasible they could be built stronger, but as a mechanical engineer, I design and purposely break things all the time, so I think those leg joints are adequate and work solidly.
The little mesh pouch inside came in handy, and the window flaps were easy to use. I'm seeing pretty good construction for this thing and if you aren't throwing it around, I imagine it lasting easily for the casual beach-goer/sports parent. After seeing multiple broken pop-up canopy frames at the beach all week, I'm glad I went with this beach tent at a fraction of the weight while being easily-managed solo.
I can't speak to its' long-term durability and use over multiple seasons, but I didn't see anything blatant that had me worried. If I encounter troubles in the future, I'll update.
At this point, the tent worked awesome and did exactly what I wanted it to during our trip. Pacific Breeze EasyUp Beach Tent Deluxe XL

The tent set up was very easy, even for one person. The takedown was a little more difficult, but not too bad. My best advice on this front would be to read the brief directions. It’s worth the effort.
The tent is lightweight, but durable. The sand pockets are genius. I put the cooler full of cold beverages inside the tent for a little extra stability, but I honestly think it would’ve been fine without that. Our last day on the beach, there was a storm out at sea and the wind was intense, but the tent never faltered. The size is perfect. I had two beach chairs and three small dog beds, along with the cooler inside the tent.
The window flaps are a nice added feature in that I could close the flaps to shade the dog beds when necessary. When not in use, the flaps roll up very easily and are secured with a simple hook and eye type closure.
Upon returning home, I set it up inside my garage to dry thoroughly before packing it away for the season, as suggested by another reviewer.
Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase.

1. It is incredibly easy to set up and take down. Before I bought it, I went to their website and found a link showing the steps to set up and take down the tent (http://www.pacificbreezeproducts.com/#!videos/cd9h). I was expecting to be disappointed when I tried it out for myself, but they weren’t kidding, this really is the “EasyUp” beach tent. I was able to set it up in less than a minute and taking it down was almost as easy.
2. It is lightweight and compact to travel with. It folds down to about 40 inches long and weighs about 6.5 pounds.
3. They have three extra large windows to help provide a nice cross ventilation
4. A large easy to access pocket to keep items like cell phones and keys stored and away from the sand.
5. The beach tent comes with 5 sandpockets that work really well for windy conditions on the beach and 4 stakes to use on grass and dirt fields.
6. A carrybag large enough that you don’t have to struggle to get the beach tent back in the bag after you’ve used it the first time
It is clear that they company has really thought about this product. They’ve added a lot of nice features that I haven’t been able to find in other similar beach tents. Just as important, it is obvious this company really cares about their customers. A few weeks after I purchased the beach tent, I got a follow up email. I sent back a note saying how happy I am with my purchase expecting it to go to a junk mail box, but the next day I got a response back from the founder thanking me again for my purchase and asking me to reach out to them if I ever have questions or concerns.
I couldn't be happier with my purchase and I am a big fan of Pacific Breeze Products.

Take down is simple too, it all self folds back up and putting the tent back in the bag is easy.
Most tents don't fit back into the original bag, but this one does and that's important.
Because of this tent, I enjoy the beach.
Everything else feels as advertised.
Easy to set up & put away!
