EASY INSTALLATION
3 Easy Steps to Mount Your Knife Bar:
- PULL OUT THE PLASTIC SEPARATOR Hold the knife bar firmly against a flat surface. With a strong grip, pull the plastic tab in a vertical motion to remove the separator, taking the backing with it.
- CREATE YOUR GUIDE MARKS Use the recessed hole to create your guide marks and drill your holes.
- TAP THE PLASTIC ANCHOR(S) INTO THE WALL with a hammer before screwing the mount into the wall. Carefully place your knife bar over the backing. Then you can begin use!

I saw some one and two star reviews on this product complaining about the strength of the magnet in this knife bar. I just installed the knife bar last night and put my 10" and 8" carbon steel chef knives on it, as well as my 5" paring knife. The magnets are PLENTY strong and even my hefty 10" knife stays firmly put in place.Out of the box, the knife bar gives you plastic pull tabs to separate the stainless metal backing plate from the stainless knife bar itself. The metal backing plate has two holes in it for screws and can be used as a template, where you hold the metal back in place on the wall, level it with a small level, the use a pencil in the mounting holes to mark the mounting surface. After that, it's just a matter of using the included anchors/screws and securing the metal back plate to the wall, then put the knife bar over the metal backing plate where the magnets securely hold the knife to the metal backing plate.I highly recommend this knife bar as it looks and works great!

A very strong magnet dressed in elegant and simple style is the key to this 5-star review. The bar will easily hold the heaviest of cutlery and is very easy to mount. If you keep knives in drawers with other kitchen implements, they will lose their edge and perhaps injure you as you poke around looking for something. I am a lazy cook who simply must have sharp & handy knives ready for culinary combat. Perfect for my kitchen set-up.

The metal backing plate has two holes in it for screws and can be used as a template, where you hold the metal back in place on the wall, level it with a small level, the use a pencil in the mounting holes to mark the mounting surface. After that, it's just a matter of using the included anchors/screws and securing the metal back plate to the wall, then put the knife bar over the metal backing plate where the magnets securely hold the knife to the metal backing plate.
I highly recommend this knife bar as it looks and works great!
