Burn, baby, burn
I weld as part of my living working as a refractory bricklayer. This little baby can lay down some beads. Most home projects - this is perfect for it.Update- so I’ve had it for some time and wanted to put up some more work I was farting around the garage with. One photo shows a flat, straight bead which was done with Weldcote 6013 LMn (found on Amazon”) and it went in perfect in one pass. The other images are of what are called V-anchors which are stainless. I did one weld flat and the other vertical (the vertical has the flashlight on it). I used Lincoln Excalibur 309L. I undercut some on the V-anchor going vertical because I was afraid of burning through the thin box tube. For both rod types I ran 3/32. I don’t think the machine will do 1/8th but, go ahead and try it yourself. The flat, straight bead was one pass. The flat V-anchor was one pass in one direction and another pass in the other. Then the vertical was one pass from underneath around to the top.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality for the price
Reviewed in the United States on October 29, 2017
(Certified welder)
Ok... so I see a lot of reviews baseing it off 220 welders they ran before and I run 480 Lincoln’s 😂 so that said the welder is not perfect... yes you can’t run anything over 1/8, yes it’s not a miller. In my years I found that name isn’t everything, I’ve seen Miller crap out strange from the manufacturer. For the price and Quality, you could not do any better. Mind you, the welder is a 110, So it can only do miner work, up to 3/8 with multiple passes. So far tho, it’s a really good, fun welder. It’s great to learn with or just for miled work such as body work exc... As a certified welder if your just and avenge joe or a welder that just wants a toy, I recommend it. It’s light, mobile, structurally sound, and u can use it just about anywhere. Mind u again 110 only dose so much and I’m basing my rating off the quality, compared to the price.👌🏻

5.0 out of 5 stars Mighty max in a box. Good stick welder
Reviewed in the United States on November 17, 2020
This little light weight machine did a damm good job. I am not a welder but it did help me on this project smoker. I waited till the end to write my review because I was waiting to see if it would die or just give out, but nope it did a good job. It doesnt get hot as wish but it does penetrate and work. I use a massive 220volt welder and I said what the heck, let me try this one out and I'm impressed with it Forney. Good job.
Would I recommend it. Yes. Good deal for the price.
