Update after lots of use:
I love this saw. Been doing great with max depth cuts on walnut even. Go slow and treat it like a smaller saw. The first blade change took a minute to sort out the balance between tension and tracking, but its easy now. Once you get the hang of it, it shouldn't be a problem. The fence has been working well too, have not had any issues with stability or slipping. Very happy I picked this up.
Then I went to change the blade to 3/8 Bosch blade and my nightmare began. Mistake No.1: I did not mark the original factory tension location. This made re-tensioning a nightmare of trial and error. Mistake No.2: tracking on a 3/8 band was nothing but trial and error. Increase or decrease tension = reset tracking. Change tension too much = loss of tracking and BANG jumped blade. Sensitive is not the right word for it, frustrating as all get out is more like it. I want to be doing woodworking, not spending 2 hours tweaking knobs a quarter turn, adjusting everything, trying a test cut only to have the cut look horrible or the dreaded "BANG" of a blade jump. After a Sunday morning of frustration, I threw in the towel on this one and will be selling it on Craig's list. I was hoping to "economize" but all that ended up doing was being a big waste of time and money. Reminds me of something I was told along time ago "The most expensive tool in your shop is the one that you don't use or does not work."

Installed onto the workbench and it's now perfect.
The saw blade out of the box was a surprise bonus but it's not great
I had purchased a better but will continue to run tests on the bandsaw performance
Great hobby tool for the price and loads of fun !!!!

I purchased it to resaw softwood and hardwood lumber.
I have resawn 6" hardwoods with the supplied blade (3/8" x 4TPI?)
I was using the low speed, you can't jam it through, but it does a nice cut!
I will switch to a 1/2" x 3TPI soon.
It cuts accurately with the 3/8" blade.
The light is handy as well as the dust collection system.
The price is awesome! I bought this saw because of the price, but also because it is well reviewed online.
I am happy with it so far, would certainly recommend it if you're on a budget like me.
For my use, which is mostly cutting blanks into circles for wood turning, this works well. I have a couple of different blades, and it is a good idea to change off the stock blade for something a little better. It is a bit slow, but far faster than my CT entry level saw.
For resawing, this lacks the power you will find in a larger machine. If you intend on resawing, I would suggest going to a 1 HP+ machine, and best to get that at a physical store, in case there are any issues.
