19-Round Magazine Clears the Grip Frame.A quick push of the magazine release button drops the 19-round stick-style magazine free from the bottom of the grip. This allows for easy loading of the metal-constructed magazine. |
CO2 Capsule Conceals inside the Grip. The backstop slides back to reveal the CO2 power compartment. A handy puncture piece flips down for easy puncture of the capsule. |
Fiber Optic Makes Target Alignment a Breeze.A long continuous fiber rod glows bright green creating two pronounced green dots. Just center the white dot on the front post in between the two green dots for fast target acquisition. |
A Handgun for Responsible Target Shooting
An element of realism is added with a 19-shot drop out BB magazine. The Smith and Wesson M&P CO2 pistol has a manual safety, double action trigger that's amazingly close to the actual handgun, and fixed front and rear fiber optic sights.
A Modern Polymer Framed Handgun
This BB gun is a replica pistol based on the S&W Military and Police firearm. The M&P air pistol is a BB repeater powered by one 12g CO2 capsule that hides in the grip. An integrated accessory rail underneath the muzzle is a great place to add a tactical flashlight or a laser.
Dual Purpose - Fun Plinking and Serious Practice
This BB replica is not only a great BB gun for some fun plinking, but also makes a great target shooting and practice pistol for S&W M&P firearm owners.

If possible, I would have liked a little better performance in terms of fps. My H&K USP blowback averaged 343.8 fps with a very solid blowback, so a little more fps would have been nice. Ordinarily, I would have wanted a totally different type of magazine after using my H&K USP. The USP magazine has a screw-cap retainer for the CO2 cylinder chamber and provides pressure to puncture the CO2 cylinder. However, that cap is too short and fits too low on the frame so you can't get your fingers on the cap to hold it in place while you get the right threading. Each time I put a new cylinder in the USP it took over 20 minutes to get that cap on!!! And the spring was far too strong for a fingernail to hold it back to load 16 BBs. The S&W MP 40 retainer spring is easier to hold and you can load BBs from the top of the magazine, rather than at top of the retainer. Otherwise, I have no issues with the M&P.
This M&P replica is a pleasure to use. Unlike the H&K, the S&W magazine works perfectly and you don't have to break your fingernails to load BBs and the CO2 cylinder cap is tall enough so you can actually hold it and screw it into the chamber very quickly. Although the M&P shoots a tad low, it is easily correctable by shooting a tad higher using the onboard iron sights. I was able to put 87% of my 16 round magazine shots into a 2" target from 18 feet consistently. Incidentally, although the H&K magazine looks like the M&P magazine and will fit into the M&P, it does not work in the M&P, I am disappointed to say. Overall, this pistol is a winner and a 5 star performer. If you want to actually hit your target with a BB pistol, this one's your Daisy.
Do you really need an operating slide? No, but this being my first/only such air gun, it's actually pretty slick that it does. I get about four dozen shots from a cartridge, and given how cheap CO2 is in quantity here on Amazon, I'm very happy with that. It's certainly a heck of a lot less expensive than about four shots for $1 for .40 S&W ammunition (about 2/3 that for reloads). The thing continues to fire with slide operating right up until the CO2 cartridge is just about empty, and manually operating the slide a few times with no BB's will exhaust the last little bit of pressure.
The two things I really wish the manufacturer would fix that are most annoying: like others have stated, it's a pain to load and it shoots low. Shooting low is not a huge deal for me, but it's just not necessary since a small sight adjustment or barrel realignment would address this. Loading, however, is most annoying and it can be painful, literally. I finally figured out a process that works for me after I get tired of fighting with it: I've taken to using an Irwin mini bar clamp (with the rubber guards) to put a little pressure on the thing to keep it open while I pour bb's in. Using a loader makes it go much faster than trying to put bb's in one by one, but even with my loader, I found trying to hold that little piston thingie on the magazine a real pain. If it stuck out even another 1/32" it would be an improvement.
Once loaded, it works great and is fun to shoot. As with any CO2 air gun, firing in quick succession will noticably reduce CO2 pressure behind the bb because things cool down. Waiting a little between shots minimizes this. Using it to draw and fire only one or two shots at a time works pretty well as the time it takes to reholster (holding the end of the slide) and observe one or two new holes in a target (at 6 o'clock, of course) gives things a little time to warm up.
Overall I'm glad I got it as it does for me what I wanted it to. Just a reminder for purchasers: this thing looks real from up close, let alone any distance. Please don't even consider doing anything stupid with it that might get you or a kid hurt (or worse).
