    Very Good Camping Toilet
We just used our new Camco 2.6-gallon toilet for the first time a few days ago. It worked very well.First, it was nice to have a portable toilet in a pop-up shower tent a few feet from where we slept. No midnight trips across a muddy campground, etc. We didn't even have to get fully dressed. We just wore our base layers to the "bathroom". My wife especially loved that! And, since I ordered the Camco in the first place, I got a lot of positive vibes from my wife. I'll take that as a win!Second, we both were impressed with how well the unit is made, how easy it is to pack in the car, and how easy it is to use. It is easy to fill and empty the fresh water holding tank -- though I would recommend using gallon jugs rather than 5-gallon water cells to fill it -- and the pump is excellent. Much better than others I have seen.Further, it is a nice height, it is comfortable, and it leaves enough space in our 4’ x 4’ privacy tent for changing clothes and showering. It is even a nice place to sit and put on a pair of socks, pants, or shoes, if that works for you. Finally, when it came time for us to leave, I detached the holding tank from the top reservoir, which is a snap. Then, I carried the waste tank and a small jug of water for rinsing to a vault toilet about 100 yards -- uphill, no less -- from our campsite. I am 72 and by no means as strong as I used to be, but this was no problem for me, whatsoever. No sweat. Literally. My wife and I are both pleased and impressed with this portable toilet. We are glad we have it.We are now camping in our Roof Nest car-top tent. Next year, we will be getting a new teardrop trailer. Each year, we take off on a 4,000 to 5,000-mile, month-long camping trip out west. The Camco toilet will be going with us for these and all other shorter in-state camping trips from now on. Great product!FWIW: This is an independent comment. My wife and I are retired, and we do not work for anyone. Anymore. Ever. The idea that a corporation could influence our opinions is laughable. Hell, the organizations we used to work for tried that and failed repeatedly for almost forty years-- and they signed our paychecks. 😎

We live in our rv 24/7/365. Lifting those potty carts is for young people. We opted to remove our black tank and toilet. We replaced it with the larger camco toilet and it worked fine for a number of years. One day the seat cracked on the right side. Not wanting to get pinched, we replaced it with this smaller version. Dec/3/2021. I just noticed an identical crack in the same spot on the seat. So I’m here buying a third unit. I’ve not bothered to contact camco as we use these daily and they are designed for recreational use. No complaints from us as we’ve stated they get used. Oh the handle on our second one did bust over the winter last year. We had the handle off the first one and alls been well. Good product, easy to use! I’m disabled so my wife does most of the dumping now, so very friendly in that aspect as well. When you go out doors go in comfort lol

I wanted to get myself a few survival items after this past hurricane season to help outfit my old minivan as a camper in case of evacuation. One of the most annoying things about being asked to leave is finding a restroom on the road and this is a better solution. I can fit this in the back of my van and no one knows it’s there until needed. It holds enough water to be useful, but not so much that you can’t lift it to dump it in the appropriate place. I can flush it 20 times easily on a couple gallons of water. I also picked up a small tin of lubricant for the seal after seeing how they typically end up developing a leak if it’s not maintained, but so far it’s not leaking. I hope to have this toilet for the next few years at least and I’m sure it will save me from having urinary problems on the road. I will definitely be using the tabs they included and I ordered another bag of them as well. Really great idea for evacuees who don’t have a full size RV. Would recommend to anyone looking to up their car camping game. Be prepared.

Very happy with this compact portable toilet. My wife and I sleep in a cute loft in our Victorian cottage but going down the handcrafted spiral stairs at 3 PM to answer natures call became a nuisance as we aged (it happens). This Camco potti has been a bedside godsend. I just empty it down our bathroom loo every three or four days. I'm 6' tall so it was a bit of a drop for me to seat myself (we only use it for #1 but she who must be obeyed 'suggested' I sit in order to avoid male pattern dribble at all costs). So I built a simple little platform out of 2X4 and plywood scraps which, with a bit of paint, looks quite presentable (see photo attached--we put a rubber cupboard liner between the platform and potti to keep it from sliding around--works great). Unfortunately, on one of my pre-platform drops, I came down a bit forcefully and cracked the toilet seat a bit. We lived with this for many months but eventually it became a mild irritant given the tenderness of that part of the anatomy. So I called the 800 number on the company's website to see if I might be able to purchase a toilet seat separately. I spoke with a nice fellow named Rick who took my name and address and sent out a replacement free of charge! It arrived today, I swapped it out without incident and we are back in business! With a little reflection, one can imagine the many possible applications of this compact device. I recommend it heartily.

I ordered the smaller version, so that I could discretely walk into a gas station bathroom with it. It's a bit too low, so you should put it on a stand. The opening isn't for larger people either. Lastly, even when empty, some liquid sits on the valve, and when you open it to add chemical, pressure changes cause the air in the tank to violently throw this liquid straight upward. If you use it for solids BE SURE to only flush it WITH THE LID CLOSED, or you're going to have a bad day.

The depth is 48cm, width 43cm (add 8cm to flush), and the height is 32cm for the seat (34cm with top valve, 47.7cm valve extended).
    The reported height is 38.5cm.
I would have gone with the bigger model if I knew these toilets were lower than reported specs.
Then again who knows if the bigger one is properly measured.

I like that the emptying system is well protected, it is to hard to turn for my wife, and I was worried it would break while turning.

Haven't used it as intended yet.

I used it a lot during this summer especially for camping and I really like it. The only complain I have, it is not easy to clean it. No matter how many times I rinse it, there is always something left... On the bright side this construction really prevents from leaking even if cup is not sitting tied.
    Overall experience is very positive.

Our campsite we booked this time is further away from the restroom so we bought this to be used in our tent trailer. We definitely appreciate the convenience and comfort. I was a little surprised by the width of the toilet and it wouldn't fit into little cupboard in the trailer meant for a portable toilet; but otherwise it works well with no leaks. Dumping the waste tank is straight forward enough - I have to flush it with water several times to make sure all the dirty solids and liquid are gone.
