It's a win for me (and my boys)!
5 Stars
It's a win for me (and my boys)!
Purchased 2 for my chihuahuas. 1 is 6lbs and the other is 12lbs. Both packages arrived undamaged, no parts were missing. I did discover on one of the balcony rails the end piece was assembled backwards, which I unscrewed and fixed, so I recommend carefully going through your parts and using a little bit of visual confirmation/common sense.I wanted to connect the two houses to allow for one large roof deck, so I hacked off the landing on one, shortened the rail, and voila! My little guy is a blue and white, by chunky boy is a black and tan with hints of white - so I decided to paint their houses to match them. To be fair, I haphazardly ran my hands across all the wood and did not pick up any splinters, though many of the pieces were "rough" and probably could have used a sanding. I honestly just not feel like doing all of that and felt the risk was low. I also did not feel like painting and flipping and finding room for each individual piece to dry, so I waited until assembled to paint.I almost ordered a similar model from another seller that featured a wire door, but decided the dimensions on this one seemed better. I found two cute decorative "windows" with fall wreaths (hanging wall decor item) on Amazon, and made those work out for doors. I had to paint one, which worked great. My boys like a door for eating, so a nice door they shall have! I added a motion sensing puck like inside, some fairy lights on the railing, cozy bed and blankie, their photo, and their names to really just be a ridiculous dog mom. Washable pee pads to line the floor (which match their colors), beds that match their colors, and of course, the blankies match their colors. Yeah, I tend to go overboard for those 2.Still letting the paint fully cure for a couple of days, but they will move out of covered wire crate life into their new homes this weekend. I eliminated the ladder feature included with the house as others did, and opted for a low 4 step fabric doggie stair (also found on Amazon). It is the perfect height and the top step JUST fits under the top edge of the roof deck. The steps may still be too steep for them, so I may switch that to one of the sloped step numbers that keep popping up in my recommendations. They did get to do a pre move inspect and immediately hopped on to their beds. I call that a win, too cute. I'm going to zip tie the legs and top rails together to make sure my little one's power legs don't scoot the houses apart and someone falls down the crack in between! There are not too many useful dimensions on this product, which made it challenging to buy some of the accessories I used, so if I have a chance later to take those, I will add them here. The beds I purchased are 17"x11" and they are plump since they fit like a glove. I will try to add photos once the boys move in and take their first naps, and once I put th stairs in place. For now, the photos I have taken up to this moment are included.

5.0 out of 5 stars My cat absolutely loves this
Reviewed in the United States on December 10, 2018
My cat Shelby loves this house, she sleeps on the top and the bottom it's like 50/50 she loves both. This is a great product, easy to assemble - looks adorable and everyone who comes to my home loves it. My Beagle is 36 pounds and she is too big for it, she can go in the bottom but she can't turn around so I would say it would be better for a cat or a dog under 30 pounds but what a great great purchase this was!!! I thank the seller!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars DIY DOG HOUSE..love it..So does my dog
Reviewed in the United States on August 27, 2019
This dog house was a great buy!...I wanted to get my dog off the floor and off of using my bed...The box was not in good condition when it came but the pieces to the house inside were in good condition... Putting it together was pretty easy but the measurements are off on some of the holes they don't line up exactly so you kinda have to make your own minor adjustments on some pieces but the wood is super easy to screw through!..It was super plain to me so I decided to spruce it up with some succulents..Roses and Faux Moss..this was a cool little project for me to do on my days off and a great addition to my room..Only took me a couple hrs and that's including decorating.. (PS..My dog is very uninterested in eating any of the decorations if you were wondering lol)
