I finally installed the unit in my window. A couple of things not up to par. 1)The thermostat in the unit isnt working properly. I set the A/C at 70 in my room, thats as cold as i like it. When I run it I put in econo mode, thats the main reason i bought this unit. Well it never reaches 70, it get to 74-75 and turns off like it should as if it had reached the set temp. It may work properly in normal mode but I dont want it running 24/7. Thats why I bought this one with econo mode. Sure I could set it at 66 and it would shut off at 70 but I shouldnt have to. I paid good money for this , it ought to work. 2nd) The remote is cheap, like a fisher price toy. The battery door constantly comes off while in my hand. It really pisses me off. Also theres about a 2 second delay in the remote. Thats bs too. 3rd) It sounds like youre standing on an aircraft carrier while F-14 Tomcats are powering up. Very noisy, not happy a all. I thought I was buying a really good unit and was wrong. This A/C is the best of the basement units. Best of the bottom feeders. Best of the worst...Its all digital with econo saver and a remote. How is it possible that in this day and age you'd find such low quality technology ??? I will keep it because I purchased several months ago not realizing that when I go to install it months later I would have problems with it. Would I buy it again? No and im not telling you not to buy it either. Perhaps it was 4:55 on friday when this was assembled...

1; VENTS DO NOT ADJUST UP-DOWN as per ad photo, reported but not corrected = UGH straight out blow @ knee height with side-side adjustment
2; arrived w/o typical rear/out fin damage UPS = could decrease SEER abilities
3; well packaged, maybe even too much plastic on everything
4; install instructions show picture of thin white insulation/gap filler but NO clues as to where to put it ... and I have installed many window units over the years
5; installs like every other window unit; frustrating at times but pretty straightforward
6; good touch to add foam insulation panels NOT included of course - I elected these for exterior and can dream up interior solutions later
7; all such units will need duct/gaffer tape, silicon or even foam in a can to seal everything tight
8; I already had to window slide thumb lock, the L-bracket included is silly, Sheriff might recommend a stick cut to length (outsiders can't raise window up)
9; after 2+ hours, best outgoing temp 56.5F; after 3+, 51.5F
10; after 3+ hours, 290sf room 2/5 dbl.pane glass + computer + TV has a lower temp. ~ 3F but obviously less humid (central Texas) outside is temp 86F , dew pt. 58F
11; WARRANTY CARD RETURNED BY USPS AS WRONG ADDRESS & CANNOT FORWARD

BIG PROBLEM
This ad photo KDTAW05C shows outgoing vents/registers obviously able to adjust up-down,
which differs from its brother KDTAW05B ... ref. attached photo for what really comes to you = NO UP-DOWN ADJUSTMENT POSSIBLE!?!
They are otherwise the same, except this one costs +$15 ... now trying to figure out .... WHY?

NOW having to rearrange things to suit IT, when it was purchased to suit US! UGH
Getting too hot to play back & forth shipping wait disappointments TAG, so no returns.

EXPECTATIONS
Low hum good for working w/o distractions

DO OVER
If I really was ambitious, I would pack it up & return it for the LG 6000BTU
since the previous LG10000BTU has worked GREAT, with up-down register since Mar 2016
LG ads really care about getting it right - even the photos!

UPDATE
Got the LQ 10k BTU and NO REGRETS
You can always put out less BTUs cooling but never MORE than unit capacity

I purchased this right before the summer heat kicked in full swing! It was damaged upon receipt, and I thought I would try to give it a whirl regardless. It certainly cools a single room down, but didn't have that boost I was looking for. I ended up purchasing the 10,000 BTU for about $100.00 more and it was beyond worth it! If you are going to dump money into an AC unit, get the 10,000 BTU from Keystone. We returned this AC unit and kept the other, and the 10,000 BTU AC unit cools our entire 700 sq. ft. house verses a single room. I would say that $100.00 increase was well worth the cost!

The air conditioner seemed fine out of the box. The shipping was fast as promised with Amazon Prime. The assembling was somewhat complicated mostly because of the poor instructions (perhaps it'd be easier if you knew Chinese?) but in general it was not difficult to put together and secure to the window. The disappointment came later. I would say it's good for a very small bedroom max 120 s.f. Anything bigger it'll be quite a challenge to lower the temperature. It's been about 85F max so far outside and I was getting at best 79 in a 200 s.f. room. It is also quite noisy, but the worst part is the functionality. It's practically impossible not to get the buttons of the remote control stuck, which makes it very frustrating changing mode, fan speed or temperature. Even worse, in the Auto mode the a/c literally shuts off for good without turning back on. I woke up sweating and noticed the a/c light was on showing 69 degrees but it was completely shut off. Not happy with the purchase but we're soon hitting 100F so I have no choice but keep it now.
