This is the first time I am trying maca powder so I am no expert, but have read many good things about it. I was a little worried about the flavor as I could kind of smell it when I opened the amazon box, but it is also about 120 degrees out in the courtyard where the package was delivered that day. However there was no damage to the package or anything.
I decided to try 1 tsp in my morning latte (1/2 c warmed whole milk, 20 drops of liquid monk fruit extract, 2 shots of Nespresso, dash of cinnamon) and honestly I could barely taste it. I could tell there was something a little different, but it definitely was NOT overwhelming or "gross". It really mixed well too which was nice as I was worried about clumps.
I am just finishing up my latte now but feel good and pretty alert but not jittery. I can post an update once I use for a while as I have read that it is supposed to help with mental efficiency, alertness, physical endurance and hormone balance so we will see. I definitely like it so far and plan to try in baking and smoothies as well.
