Customers are mixed about the quality of the monitor. Some mention it has really good quality and price, it's an all around solid monitor, and reliable. Customers are mixed about the frequency of the monitor. Some mention that the 144Hz is amazing, especially on fps like CSGO. However, others say that HDMI will not output more than 60Hz, this monitor only does 144hz with DVI, and does not actually run at 144HZ for current gen video cards.

Being someone that's upgrading from a 60Hz tv, OMG. It's night and day. Going from a 60Hz where V-sync is my only option to prevent screen tearing, it's fantastic. I had to make a choice between 1440p @ 60Hz, or 1080p @ 144Hz. The 1080p was WAY cheaper and I'm glad I went with it now. My PC gaming experience has NEVER been better. There is absolutely zero screen tearing if you play under 144 frames(only on special occasion will you see a tear above it), and the high refresh rate with the 1ms response time makes you feel so connected and precise. FPS games are so much better. You can absolutely snipe with a good mouse. I play with a Logitech G700s mouse on the highest polling setting with this monitor and the screen is so fast that the mouse looks like it glides across the screen. If you have a high dollar mouse and only 60fps, you are severely missing out. You will suddenly be so much more accurate at every game.
The quality of the color and clearity is about what you're going to expect from a good 1080p monitor. It's pretty bright out of the box. I haven't even attempted to use the Nvidia 3D this monitor has seeing as how the glasses are $120 per pair.
The only downside to this monitor is that it doesn't have speakers. It's not a biggie, but I just don't always want to use my headphones when I Netflix.
And if you're like me, being someone who has a Master Race PC AND a hunk of junk Xbone, both will plug into this at the same time. One on DVI and the other on HDMI. The Xbox will look exactly the same, but you need headphones or aftermarket speakers.
I had one time I went from Rocket League at 144fps to the Xbone's pitiful 30fps and it was literally hurting my eyes to even play.
In conclusion, I think this monitor is definitely worth the dollar and if you have a beast computer, you owe it to yourself to experience frames greater than 60Hz. It's well worth it. You don't even need to get close to the max frames to experience it. To be totally honest, it's nearly impossible(not totally impossible) for me to detect any difference between 120fps and 144fps in-game. As long as you're clearing the 100fps mark, it'll feel pretty much the same unless you stare at the fps counter and purposely try.
Oh, and when you receive it, go straight to the settings because this thing is set to fry your eyeballs like eggs on blacktop on a sunny day in Florida. The brightness is set straight to 100 out of the box.
I game on an Intel i7-4790K and two Gigabyte G1 Gaming Xteme 980ti's in SLI.

And if you're like me, being someone who has a monstrous gaming pc AND a hunk of junk xbone, both will plug into this at the same time. The xbox will look exactly the same, but you need headphones or aftermarket speakers.
In conclusion, I think this monitor is definitely worth the dollar and if you have a beast computer, you owe it to yourself to experience frames greater than 60Hz. It's well worth it. You don't even need to get close to the max frames to experience it. At anything above 100 frames, it all feels smooth as butter on a newborn babies butt.
I game on an Intel i7-4790K and a Gigabyte G1 Gaming Xteme 980ti.
Good luck. If this helps, let me know in a comment. If it doesn't, let me know. I gave the monitor 4 stars because the absence of an adequate manual or DVD is inexcusable.

Be mindful that when you plug this in, your resolution is still going to be set to 60HZ if you were previously using a 1920x1080 monitor. Make sure you change it from 1920x1080 (60hz) to 1920x1080 (144hz) and you'll notice the difference immediately in the mouse smoothness on the desktop. I didn't need any software to enable 144hz.
It's also worth noting that the monitor comes with a relatively short cable (4 feet or so) so if you plan on any clean cable management, i recommend ordering a "Dual Link DVI-D cable" or DisplayPort cable capable of 144hz on the side. An HDMI *1.3* cable will also work (the more common 1.2 cable included with most devices will not however).
Battlefield 1 1080p DX11 Med settings 90-144 fps. Ultra settings- 75-80 fps. Game play, buttery smooth. So smooth.
Great gaming monitor. Buy it. Note, Amd Freesync didnt work on Hdmi to Monitor Hdmi. Neither did in work with a Display Port 2.0 to Hdmi Monitor.
Display port Active not required for single monitor. I do hit 144 occasionally. I've read that Dvi to to Dvi would allow Freesync to work. Unfortunately my GPU has no DVI.
Good gaming Monitor.
