I have gone through a dozen meters over the years. Most were OK but didn't last. Others were OK but took a long time to lock in but didn't really inspire full confidence. Others were OK but didn't fit into empty milk jugs well and that is how I mix my nutrients.
This meter is the best I have used to date. It was an easy one step calibration (came spot on but I ran the process anyway) with the included solution. The meter is compact and works well with my containers. Best part is how fast and stable the readings have been. Other meters seemed to take minutes before they would stabilize but this one has a stable reading in a few seconds. Inspires great confidence and seems accurate. Combine all that with the fact the glass bulb is caged to protect it and that the probe is replaceable rounds it out.

Accurate and simple PH measurements
Having used a cheaper brand for 2 years this is a tremendous upgrade. Initial impression was solid, waterproof, and foolproof.My older and cheaper pen tester was complicated to calibrate and not waterproof. It took me a month to verify it was reading correctly. The old pen would often need recalibration and instructuons were horrible. When any moisure gets inside the reading became unusable.The Apera SX610 was good right out of the box. Single point calibration was simple and took under a minute to complete the process. The company provides advice on how long the buffer solution can be used, and how to care for the tip (which is replaceable and available on Amazon). Everything you need is provided in a rugged carrying case.In application on our hot tub it worked exactly as advertised and exceeded all my expectations. Form, fit, and function are perfect.A definite recommend!
