I purchased this as a high school graduation gift for my little sister and filled it with some essential pieces for a young lady starting a different chapter in her life. I was very impressed with the quality and look of the box. I have a real leather jewelry box and this one looked nice next to it. The size is perfect for the essential rings, earrings and slim bracelets/watches (not suitable for bracelet cuffs and larger faced watches) It does come with two necklace holders but I wasn't a fan of them. I lay mine flat in lined trays so they don't tangle and keep their shape but im happy for the option of using one. The coloring through out this box is quite nice as well. I thought it was going to look cheap but I was pleasantly surprised! All in all I think it was a great purchase. My sister really liked it and I've already bought a second to gift away.

For the money, this is a beautiful little jewelry box. The description that Amazon has listed for the dimensions is wrong, however. The actual jewelry box itself measures: 8 1/4"L x 6"W x 3 3/4"H. Clearly the listing has the incorrect dimensions in the description. Now the cardboard box it is packaged in, with the styrofoam inserts, measures: 10 1/4"L x 7 1/2"W x 5 1/4"H - so perhaps the person writing up the description just measured the shipping box and rounded the measurements up. It IS deceiving when you are expecting a larger jewelry box than what shows up on your doorstep.

Anyway, as I said earlier, this is a beautiful little jewelry box. And for those who are curious, the inserts that are in the bottom layer of the box (the cross pieces that create four compartments) are completely removable without any damage whatsoever, if so desired. But the inserts are what keep the removable top layer in position. I am keeping this jewelry box in spite of the size surprise, because it is nicely made and will still be very useful to me.

If you're considering buying this jewelry box and weight does not matter, then I do, HIGHLY RECOMMEND it. It's very well built and super nice. However, if WEIGHT is an issue, and you're like me, you need every pound the airlines allots for each suitcase, then maybe it's a little too heavy... I decided to return it, even though I REALLY LIKE IT, simply because it would take up extra weight that I couldn't afford to lose. I'm not certain how much it weighs... I didn't think about weighing it, but it's definitely on the heavier side for a travel solution. Hope this is helpful. :-)

I got this in gray for my mom as a Christmas gift, and it looks a lot more expensive than it is - it is very elegant looking. The materials seem to be high quality and the box looks just like in the pictures. I made a video for you to see how easy the parts get together and added some photos of details. It comes in a cloth bag which makes it perfect for gifting. The mirror is real, and the hinges are metallic, making the top stay up with no problem. It is a great product for the price, and I am thinking of getting myself one too!
