This skate offers good bang for your buck. It’s relatively comfortable, fairly light, and the materials seem to be high quality. You can definitely get much better skates if you want to spend hundreds of dollars but this is a great first or second skate.

Bonus note: if these are your first skates you’ll want to know that new skates typically do not come sharpened and these are no different. Take them to the pro shop of your rink and they can do that for you. Otherwise, you WILL fall. Trust me.

Over the years, my feet have changed and my top line skates were killing my feet. I haven't skated in Bauers in years, but I remembered that they were a bit wider at the ball of the foot, which was the current source of my pain. I have now played a couple games in them and my feet are one again pain free, Folks, these are proof that well fitting skates will make you a better skater, not more expensive skates. I am 58 and have played at the DIII level. I do not skate any worse in entry level skates than I do in pro level skates. I have no illusions about the long term durability I may experience, but at this price, I can buy a new pair every year and still come out under the budget of skates like I bought when I was in my prime. I will update as to the durability of the skates in time
UPDATE:. So it is now over two years later and I have decided to upgrade. Butbth see skates we're worn once a week for over two years. Our ice skating s soft, but still, I only sharpened them when I hour them. So much he blades will help let an edge.
Except for a few rubs, these skates show little signs of wear. No cracks, split seams or wear in the uppers.
