The slicing blade is adjustable! So clever. Who needs multiple blades if the blade assembly has a gazillion thickness settings? My hummus turned out super-silky and didn't creep up the sides of the carafe.
And a dicing attachment? That's entirely new to me. I've had food processors that shred, but dicing is pretty novel. Gazpacho coming up!
I'm looking forward to exploring this machine further and getting many years of use out of it. Frankly, I never really had Hamilton Beach on my radar, but between our Toastation toaster oven (simply the cleverest and useful toaster oven ever) and this unusual food processor, I'm sold.
DELIGHTED UPDATE: Check out the photo of the magnificent gazpacho I made in about ten minutes. I scored some super-ripe organic heirloom tomatoes and figured they'd make a great test of the dicing gizmo. Expecting little but mush, I proceeded according to the recipe that came with the machine... and it was absolutely terrific, just the right consistency. One great feature of this processor versus the costly Kitchen Aid Pro Line it replaced is that you can remove the chopping blade from the bowl without everything leaking through the spindle-hole. The Kitchen Aid made many frustrating messes that way, not to mention how it would leak from under the bowl lid... no more!
SIX MONTH UPDATE: Still loving it. The green gasket at the top keeps it from piddling all over the place, which is appreciated since I like to make soups. It is much tidier to use than our old Kitchen Aid, which we don't miss in the least. This one is much better designed and built, and the Kitchen Aid had nothing like the chopping/dicing gizmo.

When I pulled it out of the box, it was simply beautiful, but HUGE. So huge, in fact, it doesn't fit underneath my cabinets on my counter (which allow for 2 feet of height). I attached a pic to show the difference in size between my 30-yr old Kitchen-Aid, my 8-Quart Instant Pot Ultra, and my new Hamilton Beach Food Processor. So if you have a small kitchen like I do, this might not be a good fit for you.
When I put it together, I noticed the plastic bowl had some rough edges. These rough edges instantly took off some of the finishing on the base - not a big deal, but still kind of irritating to me since I take pride in taking good care of my things....I have 30 yr-old Kitchen-Aid, remember? I attached another pic of the scratches for you to reference.
When I first used it to chop onions, I noticed the motor isn't as strong as I believed it should be. My little 4-cup Cuisinart seemed to have a stronger motor. Maybe the Hamilton Beach is stronger, and it's just revving up and down slowly - I'll give it that. When I used the pulse function, it jumped around on my counter, despite the fact it has suction cups on the bottom. As result, I had to hold It down with one hand while I used the other to press the pulse button. My little Cuisinart never jumped on the counter. The Hamilton Beach didn't chop uniformly; there were some big and small pieces even though I had pre-cut the onions in 1-inch-thick pieces like the instruction manual suggested. To get a uniform chop, you have to pulse it to almost a mince, rather than a chop. Again, my little $50 Cuisinart performed better. Lastly, the inside of the bowl has ridges where the chopped onions stuck to after being processed. As a result, I had to use a spatula to pull the onions from each of the 4 ridges, which actually took more time than you'd think. My Cuisinart didn't have any ridges inside, so a quick sweep with a spatula was all I needed to get any little bits. However, the only attachment that came with my Cuisinart was the S-blade. For $50, I think a person deserves more than just an S-blade.
The Hamilton Beach shredder worked great with chilled cheese, yet there were some pieces struck between the food chute, lid, and pusher. These pieces seemed to bog down the motor, which concerns me since its not a hard food, it's colby jack cheese I was shredding, for Gosh's sake.
I haven't used the dicer or slicer yet, but I will be using those this week. I'm sure they'll work fine - I'll update this once I actually use them. And apparently I can't use this to grind spices??? Why not? It should be able to do that. My little Cuisinart did it.
The Hamilton Beach Processor was difficult to clean. I don't have a dishwasher in my little kitchen, so you might want to reconsider this purchase if you don't have a dishwasher either. There are several nooks and crannies food can, and will, get stuck in. The handle has small holes in it, so if it's submerged in water, it will get dirty, and stay dirty inside the handle. That will eventually create a sanitary issue. They could have easily built this appliance more steady, with a stronger motor, and with easy-cleaning in mind. They didn't. I don't understand why not since the toaster oven I bought from Hamilton Beach is phenomenal. That's why I gave this brand a chance on the food processor to begin with.
The good: It processes food within seconds. The cheese block literally took me 5 seconds to shred. Same with the onions. It has a handy pour spout. Food won't leak out where the blade attaches (like it did with my Cuisinart). It has a handy box to hold all the attachments.
I will keep it if the motor doesn't give out, or get close to giving out. I just wish it was built better. I'm thinking I should have gone with a Brevile or another Cuisinart instead, even though they're twice the price for a similar-functioning model. For me, I'd rather buy a quality product that lasts a lifetime than a cheaper one that doesn't.
I don't have an option to add pictures. Sorry.
