I got the BenQ RL2755HM (same as this current one, just without Zowie branding) in mid 2016, after that, I got an ASUS MX279H IPS monitor, then I got the ASUS VG245H gaming monitor. After that, I went back to BenQ, with this BenQ RL2755 (September of 2017), and then I got a Samsung UH750 4k monitor, before getting what I am now using, the ASUS MG28UQ 4k gaming monitor. They all have their pros and cons, but after having experience using them all, I can definitely recommend the BenQ the most, at least for 1080p console users. 4k is a bit more complicated, but I'll touch on that later (I am using a ps4 pro and PC).
Going through every monitor will take far too much time (but I'll basically do it anyway, lol) and most people won't care to read it all, so I'll try to keep the main reasons why I still think the BenQ is the best, and it's fairly simple, BenQ has the best motion blur solution I have ever seen in a 60 Hz monitor. Now all 1 ms response time monitors and even most monitors have decent motion blur solutions, but BenQ's AMA (have yours set to high btw, not off or premium) setting goes above and beyond in ways I don't really know how to articulate.
It's important to point out that motion blur won't be an issue for almost all gamers with most games across any of the monitors I've listed and especially the gaming 1 ms response time ones, but for me, I've grown sensitive to it in a few games, mainly Rocket League, which has the camera and objects constantly moving, to the point where motion blur can be incredibly distracting and hurtful to my game, making me miss shots and is the difference between losing and winning quite often.
So about the monitors:
The VG245H was a decent monitor, I really liked its design, with slim bezels and the great base, with tilt, swivel, and height adjustment features. However, when it came to Rocket League, I simply couldn't play very well with it, everything was a mess due to motion blur. Asus' motion blur solution is known as their tracefree setting, which does help, however on the VG245H, it deteriorated picture quality dramatically, like to the point where it caused inverse ghosting, making everything look awful, partially defeating the entire purpose.
Luckily, my current 4k Asus MG28UQ does a better job at handling motion blur, but it's still not as good as the 1080p 27 Zowie BenQs I've had. The BenQ's AMA when at high does not degrade quality yet it handles motion blur perfectly, it's truly their x-factor.
The input lag for these monitors are all basically the same (average around 10-11 ms, the best monitors get at 60 Hz ), since they're all decent monitors regardless, with only the one IPS having a worse response time (IPS always have lower RTs than tn, and response time and input lag are different, but ideally you'd want both to be as low as possible). And about that IPS Asus, it's a beautiful monitor, but for higher end gaming, I don't recommend it, it's perfect for web browsing, movie watching, more "casual" gaming, etc.... since it's an IPS monitor, and they do indeed have great colors and such, but I felt the difference between 5 ms and 1 ms response time dramatically in Rocket League, and I played much worse with it (although 5 ms isn't that bad or noticeable in most games).
The Samsung 4k UH750 monitor was also decent, I had the 28 inch version, but for some reason, despite it being a 1 ms response time monitor, it didn't feel as responsive for gaming as the BenQs or even the current 4k Asus did and do. It could be to its motion blur, or perhaps its input lag isn't as low as the others, but no input lag tests have been done with it. It did have quantum dot tech, and for a TN panel, I consider it to have better color vibrancy than the 1080p Asus IPS, but it's also a 2017 release TN monitor vs 2013 IPS monitor, so I'd expect it to be better regardless of panel type, just due to the price differences and years of release.
Lastly, to finish this off, my current Asus mg28uq monitor. I do really like it overall, despite it not having the same performance (motion blur performance) compared to the BenQs I had. It comes quite close enough that I can overlook its minor issues, and it's definitely better in many ways as well (4k, great base with height adjust, etc... )
I also don't feel like it would be good to go back to a 1080p monitor after having 4k monitors for months, so that's why I probably won't be getting the BenQ again for the third time (although I see how cheap they can be gotten off of BenQ's ebay page, like around $150). That's why with everything said, I would strongly consider getting a 4k Zowie RL27 monitor with the same great specs, but they don't exist, at least not yet. I know BenQ does have a 1 ms response time 4k 28 inch monitor that has a similar looking style to these RL2755 monitors, but it's quite pricey, and its price is likely inflated with a pseudo HDR feature. Hopefully BenQ releases some 4k Zowie gaming monitors soon. I'm not sure what they're waiting for, the current Asus' 4k gaming monitor has been around since 2016, so hopefully BenQ comes out with some soon.
There's also other things the BenQ does better as well, for example its blue light filter. The Asus gaming monitors automatically lock into a racing preset, and its blue light filter is a dark grey mode, while the BenQ is a small yellowish tint that doesn't impact visuals, and you get used to it in seconds, forgetting it's on.
TLDR: The title summarizes it. Also if you want good picture quality and colors and such that TNs don't really offer for movies, single player games, etc..., buy a budget 4k TV in addition to your cheaper TN competitive gaming monitors (TCL makes great ones), they will blow the highest end 4k IPS monitors out of the water, and they're dramatically cheaper than those high end 4k monitors. Like the latest true HDR 10 gaming monitors cost $2,000. You can get the best of the best TVs for that amount.
EDIT December 3rd, 2018: So funny enough, I actually ended up buying this monitor yet again for the 3rd time. Let me explain...So the release of Red Dead Redemption 2 convinced me I needed a better display than the 28 inch 4k TN Asus gaming monitor to enjoy it on, something with nice vibrancy and colors, so I ended up getting the LG 27uk600 IPS 4k HDR monitor on ebay for under $300. It's a really nice monitor with partial HDR support (can get up to 450 nits of brightness, very bright, but doesn't compare to many top tier 4k tvs that get to 1000 nits), however it's the best display I've owned. I was really hoping it wouldn't hurt my Rocket League or COD game, but lo and behold, despite it having 9 ms of input lag, that 5 ms response time really hurts its motion blur handling, making every fast paced game feel sluggish and it's like I'm a 15-20 years older all of a sudden, with reaction time slowed down, accuracy worse, etc....
So darn I'm thinking to myself, I love how beautiful it is, games look amazing, but I am not as good as I was a few weeks ago. I really don't want to just sell it and go back to the Asus 4k gaming monitor (more expensive to get the Asus 4k monitor), despite it being very good in its own right (but not as good in terms of performance as these BenQs). This is where my love of my life monitor came back into the fold . I again saw just how cheap these BenQ RL27s can be bought for off ebay, and I figured I might as well get it just for those extra sweaty try hard multiplayer games where I want to be at my best. So I will still have a nice 4k monitor for more casual single player games, but this 1080p BenQ for when I need to get my sweat on. I got it for $100 on ebay, didn't have a base, so I bought AmazonBasics vesa monitor base, and I think it looks much better than the standard BenQ one.
August 2019 update: I still more or less stand by everything in this review. I also even got the BenQ EL2870u, the one that looks like this one but a 4k monitor, and while it's a pretty good monitor, it still doesn't quite replicate the motion blur success of this, but it does kinda come close with the right settings (although having AMA on premium on that particular monitor creates a decent amount of inverse ghosting, messes up the image quality a bit), but I'll hold onto it for a bit more just to experiment between both the RL27 and the EL28, and see just how different they are, and whether a bit better motion handling is worth having over better everything else....
May 2021 update: Yes, years upon years after this review I am still updating. I no longer have this monitor (owned it on 3 separate occasions), but it has a special place in my heart as the best 60hz gaming monitor ever, how I would have loved to have this monitor back on the xbox 360 in peak mw2 days (benq didn't quite have this one but did have other decent gaming monitors back then).
Games never felt as snappy at 60hz as they do on this BenQ. I now have that same LG 4k 60hz IPS monitor from above and another LG 1440p 144hz monitor for PC gaming. It's a good combo. I am thinking of getting an OLED tv to use though (LG CX series and above are amazing gaming displays). OLEDs have response times and motion handling abilities much better than the best gaming monitors. I also have a ps5 now as well, so what I want out of a display is much different than years ago. But if you're in the market for a pretty cheap 60hz gaming monitor for console gaming, this BenQ is god tier.

- The menu buttons are good from what I can compare to other monitors. The buttons are on the front of the outside bezel and once pressed there is an on screen pop up that lets you know what each button does so there's no guessing work. This a HUGE +1 because there's no aimlessly pressing buttons blindly until you get what you want. You can map the top two buttons to use quick settings like Inputs or Volume/Mute.
- 27 inch at 1080p is an almost sweet spot, a 24 inch at 1080 is basically the sweet spot, but this 27in is definitely still good. Response times are fantastic and colors are decent. You are able to adjust the panel picture settings to give you what is a great picture, there is a thread somewhere on Reddit. With a dedicated GPU (I have a 1660ti) I was able to overclock the panel to 1080p @ 76Hz, while 77Hz crashes it. This is only beneficial for PCs and not consoles as consoles can't utilize further than 60hz anyway. 75+Hz isn't available by default setting when using 1080p, you must overclock this setting to achieve it. The description of the monitor says 75Hz but this is only a default option in 720p mode.
- Speakers are a 4/10. Much to be desired. Not good and not loud either, but hey it has speakers. The stand is great and non-intrusive and doesn't have feet that poke out and it's pretty solid. It does have some headset holder on the back which I've used twice but it's nice it's there I guess. And the cable management hoop is definitely useful when you are using 2 outputs so +1.
I had been using a 2011 26" Samsung LCD TV for the PS4 so I could game while still watching TV shows, movies, and sports on the big TV in my living room, so I opted for the 27" instead of 24" because I didn't want to go down in size even though some people seem to consider 24" perfect for gaming monitors. I figured that they're probably sitting at a desk up close to it, while I'm in my recliner, so the 27" would probably be a better fit.
So, is the monitor noticeably better? Well, it's hard for me to say with 100% certainty, but everything does "feel" better. While there are still obvious networking latency issues, since using this monitor I find myself yelling at the B.S. that often happens in PVP substantially less. My movement and aim even feel more precise. The only caveat that I should add is that in addition to getting the monitor, I also grabbed a Scuf gaming controller, so the tests aren't 100% scientific as I changed multiple variables at once.
Nevertheless, I've come away feeling that getting the monitor and the controller have both helped improve my game and were worthwhile purchases for someone who invests as much time as I do to gaming (it's also my career). While I'll never be "elite" tier, as I'm 43 years old and have the hand-eye coordination of someone 20+ years older, but I definitely feel like these two instruments have helped me play better. While I still have plenty of games where I get wrecked, I'm having substantially more games where my K/D ratio is in the 1.5 to 5.0 range, which wasn't common before. My lifetime K/D in the games is 0.97. Though, I should add that I personally credit the controller with 80% of my improvement and the monitor for about 20%.
My only gripe with the monitor is that I can't find any settings that I'm happy with for how everything looks. The FPS setting is too bright for my tastes and makes the game look like crap. It's probably beneficial for PVP to play like this, but I personally don't like the game looking super bright and washed out. I find that the Movie setting actually makes the game look the best, but the blacks are too dark and blend together, which can be a hindrance on certain maps. I won't deduct a point off of this review for this, however, as I'm sure there are settings that can work. I've just always been really bad at doing this kind of stuff. For instance, I have a dual monitor setup at work and, for the life of me, I can't get the two to look the same. So, I surely can't knock the monitor for my shortcomings as the end user.
In the end, I figure if you play a lot of games then you should definitely consider picking up one of these.

Fast response time and low input lag make this monitor great.
(I have captured some pictures from the Monitor but those are not 100% high quality pictures, Those are showing there.
SenseyeOff means: Standard Picture And
SenseyeOn or without any logo means: with Colour Vibrance™ an exclusive technology of BenQ.)
Picture quality of this monitor is really very good as based on a TN panel . If i say in more detail :
The picture quality of this TN display is really crisper, clear and sharp with good colour.
On ps4 pro, sharpness and clarity are better.
BenQ's Exclusive technology "Color Vibrance™" adjustable feature gives a best colour visual out of this TN DISPLAY. So we can enjoy every visuals with very satisfied factor.
Anyhow, Colour reproduction of this TN display not near at an IPS or VA panel.
Fast response time and low input lag give a great performance to this monitor during the gameplay. So there is no ghosting, very minimal blur and we can act in our own reaction time.
[Ghosting and Blur may give you headache when you are watching fast moving scenes especially on a bigger screen. but you won't feel anything from this monitor Because of ultra fast response time.]
This monitor really great for pro Gamers and FPS Gamers, especially sports, fighting, third person and first person shooter.
Ps4 system runs maximum @60hz (60 freame per second) and It won't support Freesync or G-Sync. so this 60hz monitor really matches for this Game console.
In my opinion, if you are planning to play games like Uncharted, Tombrider, last of us, Horizon Zero Dawn ets . .. Please look for VA, IPS, QLED or OLED panel based Monitors or Television's.
In this case Great Performance is not a biggest matter But a Best Cinematic Gaming experience is the Biggest Matter But it comes through a Best visual quality.
So That, Best contrast ratio along with best brightness, best colour reproduction and Decent low input lag along with decent response time are the very important points . So That you can enjoy a best cinematic Gaming experience through those points.
If you are looking for the Best Visual quality, don't look for TN based Monitors.
But if you are looking for the Great performance and the good visual quality;
BenQ ZOWIE RL2755 is a Great Option.
REMEMBER !!!

Die 24 Zoll Variante verschafft hierbei die gleichen Vorteile und schränkt keinesfalls beim Spielen oder Arbeiten ein - meiner Meinung nach eher im Gegenteil.
