In my opinion, the 'weakest link' in any rolling luggage is the wheels. It's therefore the most important issue when shopping for rolling luggage. Unless the wheels and axles are well designed and constructed for durability, they will be what fails first. My cheapo 6-7 year old 2-wheeler from a chain store developed wobbly wheels last time I used it indicating imminent failure.
I chose this Travelpro case based on rave reviews and what looked like a very durable wheel system. When it arrived, the first thing I looked at was the wheels. Having 'dualies' helps distribute the weight as well as divides individual axle loads, thereby increasing life span. I think if one wheel or axle breaks, the other wheel of the 'dualie' will continue to work fine. What's more interesting is that each wheel assembly is attached to what looks like an easily replaceable plastic mounting 'plate' should a wheel or rolling problem every arise.
I rate this case as outstanding in almost all categories. Of course, the wheel system is tops! Being able to roll it sideways in a straight line works very well, too. I'm not sure if it's magnets or some kind of hidden detents in the swivel mechanism that keeps them straight, but they work well. Overall, the construction is what can only be described as 'beefy' and should be able to withstand the 'savage baggage handlers' of TV commercials 30 years ago. But I didn't buy this bag to check it at the counter. I have no doubt whatsoever this will be the last bag of this size I will ever buy.
The fabric it's made of is thicker and seems more durable than that of the cheapo bag it replaces. The zippers are also beefy. The interior is surprisingly roomy, and the included 2-fold garment bag a works surprisingly well, too. Having handles top, bottom, and on one side makes it easily carry-able in any orientation. Being able to slide my 17" laptop in the outside front pocket was what clinched the deal for me.
I have only a couple of 'nit picks' about the case. First is the too-small zippered pocket directly behind the laptop pocket. I managed to get perhaps 10 folded sheets of 8.5"x11" paper in there after the bag was packed and the laptop zippered in. Perhaps that's its intent, to hold a minimal amount of paperwork, such as tickets. My only other nit-pick is that the expansion gusset is only from the bottom of the case almost to the top of the front section, where the gusset goes to zero. So if you're forced to pack it really full, put the excess at the bottom. I also have zero use for the USB cell phone recharge capability & battery compartment, but I'm sure some users will be happy to have it.
Should I need additional rolling luggage, Travelpro will definitely be the first, and probably last brand I look at. I've already recommended the brand to a couple of friends, too!
The magnetic lock wheels are OUTSTANDING. When rolling into the airport from my car I often find myself adjusting my clothes, checking my pockets and looking at my phone while walking in. Its nice to always have a free hand and not have to worry about my roller twisting or tipping over while going over bumps/around objects. You can literally push this bag loaded up, with a backpack strapped on with 1 finger if you wanted.
The handle is very sturdy (there is some wobble, but it is negligible compared to other suitcases, it might move ~1mm back and fourth if that). The different height adjustments are handy for if you are pulling/pushing just the bag or you have your backpack strapped to the handle. I also like the rubber material used on the handle, it feels comfortable no matter what way you hold the bag, and seems like it will last.
The zippers are heavy duty, and open easily when needed. The bag frame is very sturdy and gives you a feeling that your bag isin't going to disintegrate after being thrown around like trash by the airport baggage people.
The built in USB charging port is an added bonus. You have to provide the battery pack, but this is good because it means you can remove it whenever your boarding the plane to use onboard, and if in the future they ban the battery packs your luggage will still be usable. I love that it comes with a garment bag, that you can actually use to keep your suits semi-wrinkle free. The interior of the bag has about as much space as you would expect from a bag of this size.
The only complaint or areas of improvement Is the handle on top. It is fake leather and does not feel as strong quality as the rest of the suitcase.
The auto wheel tracking did take a few trips to get use to but it is fine.
Be careful and watch your suitcase, it rials very easily. One time, I let my suitcase sit in what I thought was level ground at a shuttle bus loading station. The driver was going to load the bag in the back of the van. My suitcase rolled slowly 20 feet to oncoming traffic. No one hit my suitcase, was good.

Love the power bank pocket on side. Wheels allow for a super smooth traveling companion! A bit pricey but highly recommended!
