I have purchased the following types of privacy film:
1) Frosted Stripe (frost w/ small horizontal stripes)
2) Mosaic (small squares 0.5cm x 0.5cm)
3) Kaleidoscope (if mosaic had a whimsical cousin)
#1 offers the most privacy but (due to it's opacity) gives off a weird soft white glow when the sun shines through. It's my favorite in terms of privacy but least favorite in terms of letting the natural light shine in.
#2 offers less privacy than #1 but more than #3. When the natural light shines through, it makes small rainbows! The squares give it a structured feel while still remaining whimsical due to the rainbow effect. This one is my favorite.
#3 offers the least amount of privacy. It makes the prettiest rainbows when the sun shines through the window! This is the most whimsical option.
All of the privacy films are good. They are easy to install and allow me to provide my pets and myself sunlight without worrying if someone can peek inside. If you're looking from the outside-in while it's daylight and the lights are off, it's very difficult to make-out any details inside of the house. Please note that, especially at night when the blinds are open and the lights inside are on, even with the opaque Frosted Horizontal Stripe film you can still see figures moving around while looking from the outside-in. That being said #1 I usually close the blinds as soon as I get home from work and #2 some privacy is better than no privacy. All things considered I would recommend and repurchase this item.
Pro tip: The squares make it pretty easy to cut this particular film to size but if for some reason you're still having difficulty, most mid-priced wrapping papers have a square grid 1 inch by 1 inch wide on the backside of it. Measure your desired window, cut the wrapping paper to size (or add another 0.5 - 1.0 inch more to account for mistakes), and use the cut wrapping paper as a guide to cut the window film. All you need is soapy water in a spray bottle, a utility knife, a credit card/squeegee, and preferably a metal ruler to help guide you on trimming up the straight edge. There's no adhesive. If you need to remove it, all you have to do is peel it off the window.

This cling makes a huge difference for privacy especially during the day! It also still lets it SO much natural lighting!Follow the instructions and it's very easy to apply.

This window film looks amazing in day or night. The glittery pastel colors shine so pretty. I used this on my bedroom windows and now ordered more for my sliding glass doors. The film is easy to use and install was easy once I got the hang of it. Please note the film is stretchy so if you install the film and cut to fit while on the window like me then please look at the video I added. The film does stretch so when I did the first window I pulled the excess with one hand and used the razor knife to cut along the window with the other hand. What happened is my line didn't turn out exactly straight because when I pulled the excess with one hand to cut the film I pulled to hard and stretched the film. On the next 3 windows I used the squeegee to hold down the film while I cut around the window and it worked perfect. Do NOT try to stretch the film to line up perfectly in place because once it dries it will shrink back up to where it was to begin with. You can also just measure and cut to fit prior to installing but I found it easier to cut a section prior to install and leave approximately 2 inches extra all around and then cut it in to fit. When you do your first install you will understand exactally what I'm talking about with it being a little stretchy.
The film is super easy to install and can be reused as stated. I removed the first strip I cut from one window and put it in another with no issues. I also bought the Gila Window Film Application Complete Kit off Amazon as well for the install tools. This kit comes with premade window film spray, squeegee, trim tools, lint cloth and works great. You will love how this window film looks after installed. I've got tons of compliments on this window film.
Update: 10-9-2020. I bought this film almost 3 yrs ago. We moved last year and I removed the film and took it with me to my new house and reused it. It came off my old windows very easily with no residue of any kind left behind when removed. They stuck to my windows at my new house with no issues. Great film!

I used this for my front door window and I was not disappointed! I was actually surprised that it wasn’t a waste of money, since it was cheap. The tint I bought before this was horrible, so I’m glad this isn’t see through at all. The second picture (not sure what order the pictures appear in once I submit the review,) is for reference; it’s completely blurred so you can make out anything from the outside. Even at night looking in with the lights on. This film is pretty easy to use, but I would recommend using plenty of water to stick it so it doesn’t peel off after you’ve applied it. I just used an old credit card to get the bubbles out I didn’t bother with a squeegee. To cut the film to size, I would recommend using a hobby knife and a ruler so it’s as precise as possible. And during the daytime when the sun hits it right, it casts a little rainbow on my floor! I got the smallest size and I had just enough for the front door and my bathroom window pane. I like that the pattern is more professional than others out there, it has a very clean look. Very happy with the purchase.

Although this works great as a privacy film for windows and looks clean and nice once installed (a little bit frustrating, but easier with 2x people) the "rainbow/iridescent" aspect is almost null. Which is pretty much the only reason I purchased this to begin with. (Mosaic Style)
