I ordered a used Phantom Power supply for the microphone, and it worked really nicely! The packaging was well-packaged, all professional, and the instructions were extremely clear! They also included a USB adapter to connect the microphone and headset at the same time (that was really funny haha). But overall, this is a great product! People should absolutely use this for the price, provide a Phantom Power supply yourself, that is. And if your phantom power supply doesn't have a USB cable, that's okay! Harvest one from your non-working printer, and it should work like a charm!
Overall TONOR, I really loved this product. The downside is that it doesn't have a mute button but that's okay with me. This microphone, and the pop filter as well, are extremely good and people don't hear as much echo from voice chats and such.
While the microphone is easy to set up, it is not exactly plug and play. By this I mean it will not have crystal clear sound right out of the box. It doesn't come with any dedicated software, but you will need to use some variety of recording software to make the microphone not pick up every sound in the room. There is a low-level hum that never entirely goes away, but if you are playing a game, or have music in the background of your livestream or video, the hum is quiet enough to be drowned out.
Setup itself is very easy. Everything screws into place nicely, and the articulated arm is fully adjustable. The pop filter fits onto the arm tightly, though the screw that holds the filter itself to its articulated arm does come a bit loose and needs to be tightened every now and then.
I would recommend buying a better desk clamp, however. The clamp it comes with was not the best, and bent fairly quickly. I now use that clamp to hold a webcam to a tripod, where it is doing a standup job, however.
Overall, you get what you pay for. This is not a professional kit by any stretch of the imagination, but it is an affordable entry-level kit that will get you good sound for your money. If you are new to streaming or creating videos for YouTube, this microphone is a good place to start, so you can learn what you're doing without wiping out your bank account on top-tier equipment. Overall, I'm very pleased with it.
