Six months, and still great shoes!

I wanted to wait until I had worn these a while before I left a review. I mean, don't you hate those reviews: "I just pulled them out of the box and they look great. Five stars!!" Anyway, I've worn these in the shop for six months now - climbing on, around and under our machinery for ten hours a day. These shoes are very comfortable, very slip-resistant, and the cushy Skechers insole is still as cushy as the day I bought them. There have been no rips or separations as of yet. They're on the heavy side, but hey - they're safety shoes! What else would you expect? Actually, they're heavy to pick up, but feel much lighter when you're wearing them.
I would buy these again and again. The only down-side... well, honestly I can't think of one. These are great shoes.
**UPDATE** I wrote my initial review after wearing these for six months. Well, after 9 months I've worn a nickel-sized hole in the padding under the ball of my big toe. They're still very comfortable, and I'd still give them five stars. My next pair will still be another pair of these.

I have never bought shoes before online without trying them on first, but, I was pleasantly surprised with the successful experience. Love the cushion and feel. I got the steel toes and the shoes were a bit heavier and more bulky than I am used to, but, I was able to adjust quickly and now I LOVE these awesome work shoes and appreciate the added safety benefit of the steel toes.

Bulky but still comfortable

Two months into these and so far, so good. I've tried many work boots or shoes over the last 15 years. The insoles always wear out in about a month but I'm used to having to order some nicer, better quality ones. So far, these are still holding up great, as is the rest of the shoe.

Some of the stitches look like they are coming apart but it might just be cosmetic. I'll update this review if they get worse or become a problem.

If I had to say something bad about these is they are a bit bulky. But I suppose that's the trade off for something that lasts. My last pair of work shoes from another brand were light and they lasted about 10 months. I am pretty sure these will outlast them.

Mysterious nickel sized hole in heels.

After 4 months of wearing these shoes, I've had to throw them out. A mysterious hole began to form under the heel of both shoes about a month ago. Both memory foam, and the fabric, just disintegrated. The foam also stared to bunch up under the remaining fabric in a wavy pattern. This has routed all the pressure to my Achilles tendon and calves. I walk and stand for 7+ hours on a solid floor, 5 days a week. This is disappointing, and has led to great leg discomfort daily. :(

I will say that the first couple months were like walking on a pillow of air with great support throughout. Had no instance where the steel toe was used. They are a heavy shoe, and visibly bulky for a sneaker.

I'm 220lbs. Maybe that played a part in the deterioration of the fabric. Hopefully, you have better luck with them. For me, I'll find another brand for work.

When I received the shoes, I was actually pleasantly surprised. The shoes fit as expected (they don't run small or large, at least in my opinion), and they are actually quite comfortable. They have a foam padding in the shoe that makes it as if you're walking on a cloud, although it's admittedly a little weird at first, but you quickly get used to it. The shoes are on the heavy side, but not overly so. I think these are a great option for anyone that needs a pair of comfortable steel toes but don't want to spend an extravagant amount of money on a pair.

If you want strong legs then these shoes are for you! It is pretty much like wearing cinder blocks with foam attached to your feet. They are by far the most uncomfortable work shoes I have ever worn. My feet hurt so bad after the first day(10 hour shift). I thought "let me try it for two more days". Dumbest thing I ever did. I returned them and went back to the Timberland pro brand of work shoes that I've had two sets of. My feet never felt like those at the end of the day. They are big and clunky looking, like shoes my 90 year old grandfather would wear. I would give it 0 stars if I could.
