Received product. D.O.A. Excellent packaging. Device was wet from testing i guess. Filled the bean hopper and water tank and plugged in unit. The pump kicked in and flooded the counter and floor. Called Delonghi customer service and started a ticket. They did a video conference to see the device while it was failing. Haven't heard back in a couple days. Still haven't made a single cup of coffee with this device. Will update as new info is available.

Now, a few days later, the next one arrived. Delonghi customer service is a class act. And the machine delivers as promised. Thoroughly satisfied. And overly caffeinated.

Update: 9/1/18 Full failure of pump. No output, multiple alarms. Customer support tried their best but it's dead. Shipping the failed unit to Asurion (I made sure to get the insurance). Hope it's repaired soon. Super awesome machine. Missing it fiercely. Had to revert to my old French Press for now. Will update the saga as new info comes in...

The first unit arrived (Refurbished) was defective out of the box. I spent 3 min in a chat with Amazon and got the 2nd machine even before the first one went back! A+ rating to Amazon customer service!
It took a couple days to play with settings but after that I just add water and coffee and the taste of Espresso is AWESOME!
Keep in mind one thing: if you change the the whole bean coffee type, then you may have to adjust the grinding level too. The container for water is nice, you can refill it easy, just by taking it out about 25% and fill it out from the top.I don't use the ECO mode, I don't see who would? I only dislike the auto-off mode that will shutdown the machine after max. 3 hours.I would take that out and maybe add a display with time.
I hope it will last!

Our trusty old super-automatic espresso machine broke down recently and our daily life went into disarray. The cost to repair would have been about as much as we paid for it, so we decided to look for another cost-effective alternative. We decided on the refurbished De'Longhi for its value and the ability to buy an extended warranty to cover any future repairs. Machine arrived in excellent packaging and in pristine condition. Looks practically brand new and unused, hard to believe it is refurbished. After adjusting the grind and bean amount, coffee produced is excellent for a super-automatic and a step above our previous Saeco Minuto machine. It's only been a week, but so far we are very satisfied with this machine.

Only issue I have is that the beans regularly get stuck in the hopper instead of sliding down to the grinder. I just use the plastic scoop to make sure they are going in correctly, and it's fine. Without doing so, the grinder spins up without pulling in beans which results in watery coffee.

I love everything else about this machine! Makes a truly excellent cup of coffee. Steams a mean pitcher of milk. Rinses and repeats as needed.

Had a problem locating where a part goes and was instructed via phone and video how to find the spot. Not too happy with the constant use of water to rinse the system: makes for too frequent water fillings. Not too happy with grinder hopper, either, as I have to "help" the beans into the grinder ever so often. (And it is not because the beans are too oily.) As far as blending power, I have not idea what that means.

This is my 3rd DeLonghi bean to cup machine. My previous model was a level spec version and worked perfectly for 10 years. It has a burr grinder and the mechanism requires little maintenance.
I took this model since it was on sale. Even though it does not have all the nice digital displays, recipes etc. of higher spec models, it does exactly the same in making the cup of coffee. I prepare my milk with a separate device, so did not need the integrated milk feature.
These Delonghi B2C machines are highly recommended. You just need to consider which features you want and colour.

We purchased this refurbished unit in April of 2017, it died in April of 2019. After working with DeLonghi customer service they have confirmed that the pump has failed. Since we purchased the unit in the past 4 years (we have to provide proof, as we discovered the unit was originally sold as new in 2014) -- they are offering to re-refurbish the unit for $199 (which would include cleaning the burr grinder) or give us 20% off the purchase of any new unit from Delonghi. (The discount doesn't seem that generous, when you consider the current Amazon price is lower than what they are offering us.)

Other than that, the espresso machine was fantastic. Made great espresso, frothed milk better than our previous Saeco unit, easy to clean and use. We were very happy until it died.

So, buyer beware -- I don't consider a 2-year lifespan to be acceptable. And we haven't decided whether it is worth to spend $200 to re-refurbish a machine that only cost us $440 to begin with.

Update 4/14/19:
Delonghi DOESN'T sell a replacement pump from their official site. However, I googled the part# and ordered one on Amazon for $40. With the new pump, it seems to be working again. However, when I ordered a "refurbished machine" I wasn't expecting one with a 3 year old pump (and motor for the brew unit).
