Looks professional, great size for home party, and kids like the novelty.
My only issue is the manual that came with it. List all the parts, including a sneeze with directions to put together. Really felt like I was missing parts that were supposed to be there. (Listing was accurate for what I received)
Instead of directions for putting together something that wasnt in the box, I could have used a few hints at where to set temps for items.
Once a week is hot dog night at our house. It consists of throwing Hebrew Nationals in a pot, filling it with water, and bringing to a boil. As you can guess, the hot dogs taste...well...okay. I never thought boiling hot dogs was the best way to cook 'em, but it got the job done for our weekly dinner.
I slowly talked myself into buying one of these grill cookers. I poured over Amazon reviews of about a half dozen popular brands. I hate to say, none of these grills had perfect reviews. I knew I might be rolling the dice in ordering a grill that might turn out to be a dud.
Upon receiving this Olde Midway grill, I was really impressed with its build quality. There is absolutely no doubt that this is a professionally built machine meant for business use. It was packed very well and I found no imperfections in the unit.
This particular model does NOT come with the glass shield. If you are using this for your home, you do not need to spend the extra money for the glass. There is no splattering. The glass units are only for business environments where there are several people/customers congregating around the grill and where sneezes/germs would be a concern.
This is basically a plug-and-play item. The included instructions are minimal -- only necessary if you get the glass shield model. Worse yet, the instructions don't even tell you how to cook the hot dogs. You would think that the manufacturer would at least give some recommendations as to how to best use this grill. Nothing!
So, let me help you best I can...
First, plug it in. You can add a little bit of vegetable oil to a towel and wipe the rollers to season it. I chose not to do this as I was afraid that adding oil to the rollers would stain them. I simply plugged it in, wiped the rollers down with a damp rag, and then placed my first set of hot dogs atop them.
You should put some aluminum foil over the drip tray so you don't have to clean the tray after use.
I chose to cook my hot dogs at 350 degrees. In some of the YouTube videos I watched, that seemed to be the proper temperature. I only cooked 8 dogs and kept them all on the front rollers.
The hot dogs were done in about 20 minutes. You will know when they are fully cooked when there is a nice, deep brown coating on the outside of the hot dog and it begins to look like its shriveling.
I removed the hot dogs and lowered the temperature to 200 degrees. You want to keep the rollers sort of hot in order to properly clean them. As far as cleaning is concerned, a wet rag picks up all the grease from the rollers effortlessly to the point that they look brand-new after the clean.
Let me tell you...after all these years of boiling hot dogs, I could not believe how much better these grilled hot dogs tasted. The outside skin gets a little crispy, sealing in the flavor of the frankfurter. The result is a hot dog that actually has a flavor to it.
I am really pleased with this machine. As far as how long it will hold up, I don't know. I do promise that if I have any problems with it I will come back and update this review.

It has a temperature knob that you can control the front and back of the roller which is very useful. For a fundraiser or a food court small restaurant that needs a hot dog as a part of their ongoing menu, this machine is perfect. I don't think this machine would be great if Hot dog was the main item on the restaurant because this has a finite number of wieners that you could place on the grill and takes time to cook.
