blades that work great. The motor starts very easily and reliably and has plenty of power to cut through dense weeds. I am truly pleased with this trimmer.
1. Cheap, but you get what you pay for, should have spent $42.00 more on something else.
3. Can change attachments if you want to spend more money to get them.
4. Started on first use, so far it runs, but....
CON:
1. I followed the directions perfectly, inserted a screw driver into the slot to keep the lower gear box from rotating, so I could lefty tigty, righty loosey (yeah opposite for power tools like this) and the metal / lower gear box housing just crumbled / broke while I was loosening the nut to change from trimmer to bush cutter blade.
2. See attached pictures, that is just one of the pieces of the lower gear box that exploded.
3. Product registration is a joke, you hit submit on the page and it does not tell you if it worked, etc.
4. I wish Poulan would just let me email them a copy of my receipt and show them the pictures and they could mail me out a replacement lower gear box and I could change it out myself, but no I have to go to an "Authorized dealer".
5. The lower gear box is made of cheap metal from China no less and I'm sure will be the same low quality replacement part.
6. When I contacted Pouland Customer Service about the lower gear box crumbling, they referred me to some small mom & pop small engine place 30 min drive from my house.
OTHER:
1. Now I have to "take it in" to have some guy tell me they'll have to order that part and keep the lower unit for weeks.
2. DON'T BUY if you have a lawn work to do right away, or you'll be waiting weeks to trim the grass or cut down small brush, bushes, small trees. etc.
3. BUY if you plan to use this AS IS and NEVER, EVER, EVER, try to change out the trimmer unit with the brush blade.
UPDATE:
1. Used this this past weekend, and it ran, worked, but the lower unit is still jacked-up.
2. Will take to the mom & pop place in a few weeks as I NEED THIS for weekend jobs to do.
3. Pictures are attached now.

Top reviews from other countries
Starting it confused me on how I read the written directions on it, can't remember what I was doing wrong, or what was the right way to start it.
But for me, it all made sense afterwards.
I purchased mine to use as a brush cutter primary, I live on a large country lot with allot of it being over grown.
It's no where near as useful or as helpful as I wanted it to be.
Pretty much the only thing its good at cutting is small trees, at about 1/4 inch thick, much bigger it has to much trouble, and anything that is more like long grass or other thin weeds it also has trouble with. (when used as a brush cutter)
The blade isn't sharp at all, next time I use it, I am going to sharpen it, and hope for it to cut allot better.
But it was never designed to be sharpened....
Now if you want to use it as a trimmer/whipper snipper/weed waker, I'm sure it will work great.
Mine seems to run with no issues and I feel that it has allot more power then my old gas trimmer.
I'm debating between giving it 2 or 3 stars.... But I'm hoping after I sharpen its blade it may prove more useful.
When I got mine it was on sale nice & cheap for $99 Canadian, So at that price I'm still happy with it.
But I wouldn't pay more then $150 for it, based on my experience with it.
