Good product, model # not shown in Smart Things support page
Seems like a good product. I just installed it. Pros that it looks well built and comes with off-white paddle which I used to match decor. It was nice that the box came with a short white (neutral) wire so I could connect this between the switch and the wire screw with the other wires. I removed 1/2 star because I also need a short black (hot) wire so I could do the same with the black wire. I ended up not using the ground because again, I would have needed a short wire to connect between the switch and three ground wires. The load (light bulb) wire is typically a single wire so it's easy to connect this to the switch without the need of an extra wire. I took off another 1/2 star because this thing took me 30 min to program into my Smart Things Hub. This is the newer (14294) model which is *not* covered in the ST support article. I had to select an older GE dimmer model # that I had to look up and finally got it to be recognized. Who knows what newer options I may be missing on this device since I'm using a choice that doesn't show it supports 14294. Why wouldn't GE/Jasco work with Samsung ST to have them add this model # to the ST app as the product is released? Looks like ST has all the other GE zwave/zigbee products natively supported but someone failed to list this exact model # in the built in ST support article. Adding a screenshots to show issue. I did like how easy it was to setup ST to turn on the light at sunset and off at sunrise! I installed this one at mother-in-law's house and plan to order another one soon for my house!
