I was about to spent a fortune on bookends from a company not associated with Amazon. Glad I checked into Amazon and saw these beautiful bookends that go perfectly with my bedroom furniture. I did not want BLACK for the color and saw that they came in BRONZE also, along with a couple of other colors...probably white and gray (cannot remember). I took a chance on the bronze...which came like a dark walnut. So pretty. With the long 'tray' on each 'end', it gives them a good balance and strength. Very please with them !!!!

Have been through a lot of bookends that look sturdy, but bend, flop or slide away from larger and heavy stacks. Theses are deep-based bookends of sturdy material with solid welds where the horizonal meets the vertical. If you need a smaller bookend, these might not fit your need, check your measurements. We have some pretty large collections plus my wife has large photo albums she likes to keep on display and I'm very happy that we've finally found bookends that will keep them upright.

These are beautiful, and ere exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately, the felt pads they include to put on the bottoms of the bookends to keep them from slipping are crap. They’re too thin to do any good, or the bottoms of the bookends are warped just enough to keep the pads from doing anything. Jus plan to provide your own non-skid pads and you’ll love these, honestly.

I was a little surprised that the pads (to protect surface) were not already attached, but were included in the shipment. I love them. They’re sturdy and a beautiful color. Exactly what I wanted. I read a review that complained that the small pads that come with them to put on the bottom to prevent scratching whatever surface you set them on we’re super thin and still allowed scratching and they were made that it was an added expense to buy more. That’s not the case at all. They are super thin and seem cheap but they absolutely get the job done. I put 6 on the bottom of both and absolutely no scratching!
